Today's trend came about due to many factors that have been bothering the fans since the beginning of this year and not just use of bd I guess. Lemme just say that all of this (negativity/ backlash) could've been avoided if the PH intervened when Mrs Bhatt insulted Ghum fans and fans rightfully protested against it. She generalized the entire FD. If PH had made her apologize or issue some sort of statement then people wouldn't be so mad today. PH, the crew and specially Neil treated her like a princess when she was just an attention seeking spoilt brat. She wasn't even an experienced actor like Neil to get such leeway in the first place. I saw an interview where Neil said while joking around during shots Ayesha tells him to stop cuz only she will get scolded not him. That's how they treated Ayesha like a newbie.

Then came Neil icing Ayesha at every given opportunity. No promotion, no interviews together and that 'I can't be bothered to reply' attitude towards her on SM. People picked up everything. Self victimization on SJ didn't help cuz they came out as the class clowns at the end of that show.

I genuinely feel bad for him as an actor that he had people trend against him to be removed from a show. When usually in ITV history people trend to retain an actor in a show. But if he had just stopped bending over to make his wife happy and simply given due respect to his co star and behaved professionally in front of camera, it wouldn't have come to this. Look at PS, those actors do not get along at all but still get together for pictures and try to paint a happy picture when it's known what kind of shitstorm happened on SM. Here, media hasn't even picked up on any animosity on set but him icing out Ayesha definitely shows the issues he has with her.

Next drama will begin with how he conducts himself along with his co star and wife in that star parivaar show.
