Pandya, especially- changed his batting style to become a more anchor oriented player, and his bowling at 140 was worth its weight in gold towards the end of the tournament- don't think he bowled much at the start for GT. If he keeps his bowling up, he walks into the Indian white ball sides without a question.

With some luck, PBKS could've been in the playoffs too- I liked them as a team though, especially in the batting department.

Pandya's place in indian team has never been a question since his debut. A fully fit pandya always makes it to the team. :) Watch his interview with Harsha. He was saving all his bowling energy for one big final push and it worked in the finals. We wont see him bowling more than 1/2 overs per match before WC. 😆

Not luck with PBKS, I would say brains. They lost some. Easy games which could have been won with sensible play. Thier batting was OP. Most exciting lineup of intent merchants ever assembled. 😆

I don't think Sanju Samson's decision to bat first was wrong.

From 2014 to 2021 only 3 times chasing team has won and 4th time was in yesterday's match.

It is always that first batting makes it easier bcoz of no pressure at that time.

India too lost in Semis in 2019 with best batting line up while chasing.

So I don't think he was wrong, even if Hardik said they would field first, he definitely would have chosed to bat first if he would have won the toss.
