Bold: Isn't that the truth? Saroj for all her vileness ends up making Sayuri complete the after marriage ritual. Sayuri was herself hesitant about it but Saroj makes her do it, unaware that Sayuri was hesitant. Things like this indicate that Saroj's actions will end up pushing them towards each other.

He didn't bother much with Kundali too. He opposed Saroj but she was adamant. Then on the way Chiru made him go to the astrologer first and there specifically instructed that if they don't match, make it match.
Most of his uneasiness was because of the big lie he was unable to digest and a gut feeling that things are going to go south. He didn't want the marriage either, he was no fan of Sayuri. Upar se his mother was furious and she didn't talk to him at all. And then he had to lie to all for Chiru. I guess that's the reason why he was so uneasy during the Kundali episode.
Also, helping Sayuri in any manner probably gave him indigestion anyway 🤣
