All that looks shallow. Also it is not because of Sairat, Patralekha was a shallow character right since her Nasik days. She always had that entitled behaviour.
That tone, “Ab tum mujhe phone karoge.” It sounded demanding more than flirty. Never liked Patralekha even before all the drama - onscreen and never will.
Yes , I would never be able to like patralekha in ghum. Never ever. It's not because of off-screen . You know what I had a lot of expectations from patralekha since starting. Because I knew that it is the remake of KD and her character would be more of layers and interesting to watch like roopkatha. Roop used to emote with her eyes. I swear I don't know even a single sentence in bengali ( ek aata hai 😓 but I won't reveal that 🙊). But I used to feel bad for roop more than emon. Sorry but it's true just because of actress. See mine perception about KD characters is little different. What KD makers wanted to show is like two different sections of society through roop and emon I am not talking about rono because his character was a bit complex there. Roopkatha - She was a self dependent lady ,who used to travel to different areas. Kind of an explorer. She was a deterministic lady means what she wants to she will achieve it by hook or crook. Remember pakhi intro in ghum ,junoon aisa ki sab jala de like that. That was taken by roop personality. She was a good human being and not inhumane I repeat not inhuman like pakhi. Remember Ajinkya incident. I saw that episode of kusum dola to get some idea of execution of that scene. You know what roop literally felt ashamed of herself of forcing emon to commit suicide. Roop was a happy go girl, she used to care about chatterjis genuinely unlike pakhi. Yes she was a selfish lady but her human values were still remain intact throughout the show. About her behaviour ,she was nice with everyone except emon not sure though but she pretended to be a well mannered lady. She represented a kind of a lady who was perfect in every sense. But her obsession for rono kind of destroyed her life and career too. She forgot what she was in the name of love. She represented those emotions of being heartbroken in real sense, a jilted lover . A lady who deserves something great but her obsession destroyed her to the fullest . Emon as we all know she was being shown as a firece , straight forward , intelligent and Street smart girl. She was brave too as she managed to handle gogna single handedly. She was an apple of her father's eye. Being a single child ,she has learned a lot of things . Her sufferings were too relatable like absence of mother, harassment in teenage , forced marriage etc which played a crucial role in her personality. She was a strong lady and independent too like roop but a more of blunt speaker. Roop was a sweet talker. She knows how to convince a person through her talks but emon she was a no filter girl.like jaisi dil se hai vaisi zubaan par bhi. Emon used to do legpulling( okay she used to downright insult her ) of roop many times especially when it comes to rono. For emon, her use of words had always worked against her and in roops favour. Remember before samrakhi grah Shanti puja ,roop went to their room to invited them and wanted to gift her a saree. Emon straightaway rejected her gift and talked to her in a rude manner that's why rono got preturbed. Whereas in ghum it was🤐🤐. So emon represented a kind of lady who had everything but was still incomplete in some sense. Remember that ghum promo where the narrator says that - ek achha pati hai ,izzaddaar khandaan ki bhau hai( pun intended), aur uska apna sapna bhi toh hai . Par fir bhi sai ki zindagi mein kuch adhura sa hai. That adhurapan was love ,being loved by her husband, being a complete woman in true sense. So in this way I had analysed two characters of KD completely through my observation. I repeat I don't know Bengali So I maybe wrong in some aspects😔. About rono I need to analyse his character separately as his character was a tough nut to crack.KD viewers can let me know if I am wrong or right. And I think both the actresses of KD were successful in bringing out life to their characters. . I don't know my brain analysed in this manner only. Let me know how it is ,good bad, average and worst😊?Did you guys liked it or not?
