Yeah. Though the ending could've been explained better. Was Anu real? Was everything a figment of the guy's imagination, including Anu?
SPOILERS
We're spoiling it for the OP. 😆 The ending is open ended ig. I liked the ending because it left it to the audience and my friend and I both had different interpretations when we watched it together.
1. Anu was his imagination. Dude had issues.
2. Anu was indeed real and she planned to get away from Micheal. Hence, the elaborate plan to get abroad and secure a future with the stolen diamonds. Then she cuts all contact with the hapless sod making him think that he had imagined Anu.
3. Anu is not real neither is she imagined at any point. It was a clever and elaborate ploy by Micheal himself to get the diamonds and secure his own future. All of the drama was to create an intelligent illusion to fool the audience.
I concluded that the second one was my movie ending.
I don't think point no. 2 makes sense. Michael was clearly seen to be talking to Anu on the phone. he wouldn't do that if Anu wasn't real/his imagination.Originally posted by: DetachednNumb

I think point no. 1 is the best explanation. If Anu existed, then why did Mike's colleagues not get ANY trace of her in his house? Can you really remove all trace of yourself from a house long lived in?

I came across this docuseries called House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths on Netflix while browsing movies today. I was too anxious to play it on TV so I googled it instead and it left disturbed for a while. It's about the death of 11 members of a family in Delhi in 2018, under the same roof, on the same day .... they were all found hung from the ceiling and it's really creepy how the entire family of three generations got to that point. 😰
Not my cup of tea but given you enjoy watching horror movies, I thought I'd share in case it intrigues you.
I have seen it. Creepy AF.
FF will definitely like it.

Anu wanted the goods all for herself, given that she's a horror writer, she constructed this elaborate part and planned to get away with the diamonds. She managed to remove all traces so that Micheal thinks he had imagined her all this time. His colleagues not having seen her ever just played into her scheme. I know it's far fetched but it's a movie at the end of the day 😆
There's a Telugu thriller movie called Kshanam which kinda explores this storypoint. The heroine's kid is kidnapped. Her husband convinces her that she never had a kid. He removes all traces of the kid from the house and their life. It seems far fetched but is quite doable. It's quite unnerving but still a good movie.
Apart from the ones already mentioned in this thread, I would suggest Insidious 3 and The exorcism of Emily Rose.
(I have watched most of the ones suggested in this thread and none have even spooked me, let alone leave me scared. But The Exorcism of Emily Rose was just something else. And Insidious 3 had this one scene which actually made me straighten up in my seat in the theatre.)

I’ve watched the documentary. It’s actually more terrifying than a horror film. Man it was such a horrific watch. It stayed with me for a long time.

Try 'The Blair Witch Project'. You'll be shitting your pyjamas three times over. Orphan, Shutter Island, and The Others are my favorite as well. Gone Girl was quite overrated though.
Already watched it. I knew I forgot to mention a film. 😆
