Sindhi surnames are different like bablani, khanchandani, mostly they have ani in the last. No punjabi has such surnames.

And the caste system you said to usmein to tu main mostly kafi log kshatriye honge.

Sharmas are always brahmins, sharmas can be rajasthani brahmin punjabi brahmin, gadwali brahmin living and born and brought up in which ever state.

There is a huge difference in punjabi and sindhi though mostly would be kshatriye only.

I get your point your surname might be baniya or so but you are living in bombay hence you cannot be maratha.

So they are punjabi living in sindh is still doubtful to me, yes names are punjabi but dialect idk because yahan ki punjabi and wahan ki punjabi mein bhi bahaut farak hai. Humare paas to sindh kuch aya hi nai punjab bhi aaya to ekdum chhotu sa.

And when i was talking about the post ramzan new launches, i wasn't comparing these to the ramzan shows like humtum and Chaudhary and sons in views. What i meant is the timeline. Idk why these new launches aren't gathering views be it teasers or episodes. Its very less. Be it ary, geo or hum tv. I know others aren't great to be compared to ktk. But for example there is feroze's habs, geo's ahsan and hiba ka mega serial.. even these aren't getting views.

(Dont bring mere humsafar in this, thats another topic altogether and its a pre ramzan launch which has established itself now to compare to these news shows)

This is what I am trying to suggest you sindhi and punjabi is just not regional thing only.

Punjabi and sindhi have different surnames.

Like i said punjabi baniya aur punjabi jaini. Punjabi is the region baniya or jaini is the caste/religion.

Ab meri jo kal ko bangalore mein hogayi I will remain a punjabi not because my ancestors have lived in punjab but because my surname in punjabi.

The same way if that friend of mine goes bangalore that jain guy he will be a jain only working in bangalore.

There is still a difference in their dialect I cant pin point it but i think they are sindh ke sindh nawab only nothing with punjab region. Upper parts pf sindh maybe. I doubt they are punjabi

I have no knowledge about this stuff, so i got no input from my side. Ulta, im getting to know from whatever you guys are telling. My knowledge about communities in pak dramas is so limited that i just know urdu speaking zywda karachi side hai aur punjabi speaking zyada lahore side hai. Thats the most generic thing. 😆
