As someone whose first language is not urdu I do struggle on rare occasions but I’m able to understand based on context clues. I personally grew up in Kanpur in UP. So, it was mostly all hindi I knew but being a Muslim family I knew some urdu. Pakistani urdu is a little different though.

am from the south. 😊 I can understand standard movie / drama type hindi but even that sometimes I struggle with if there are regional dialects. so yea, urdu serials is difficult because they are so dialogue driven (hindi serial you can just guess even if you don't understand because they zoom on to everyone's face for reaction 😂 ). there are also many words in urdu I am not familiar with. so yea, I generally pick the dramas to watch on youtube based on whether there are subs and if it looks interesting.

just some questions as I am not sure I understand your clarification -- so does that mean there is no legal official adoption? and adoptions are more informal? so what happens with official documents? in this drama, ushna says her full name (including father's name) on her CV when she applies. (there is this scene where shehroz yells at her in the office by calling out her full name).

ushna really excels at zingers. I was cracking up when she sarcastically thanked shehroz for opening the door and the look on his face. hahahahaha... 😂

the highlight of the wedding was both of them looking and finding out they are going to be related. hahahahah

I don't know about laws of different muslim countries.. nor of my country. There are only few adoption cases in my country. One of them happens in my nieghbourhood. They took an infant girl and rised her as their own.. they named her as if she belongs to them for real.I don't know if they informed her about the truth. She is now married and have 3 children. And still lives in her parents house. 😊

Also one of my collage mates had an adopted sister. They know she isn't their real sister.. but she has the name of their family. I don't know after the death of their parents if she was given a share in the property, coz most of ppl here are poor.😕

Agreed. Shehroze was just dumbfounded. It was hilarious, same with the door scene.

also looking at that cousin sister fawning over shehroze was funny, knowing how he will most likely just reject her in 2 secs.😆

Can’t the parents just divide up their wealth while they r alive n give whoever whatever they want. Tht is wat I have seen happen quite often.

thanks; last night I looked up adoption laws in india. I didn't realize it was so complicated and is not same for all communities. there are personal laws for different community and there is a juvenile justice act which can be used by any if they wish. so it came about because of this lady activist who was worried that her adopted daughter won't be recognized and get inheritance.

yea, I find it hilarious that the cousin sister thinks she stands a chance. 😂 shehroze is so tempermental that he would never tolerate a girl like her and would kick her to the curb in a heartbeat. it is going to be rather amusing to see the aunt and cousin sister get royally rejected. they will find that this family has no appetite or tolerance for their type of drama...
