He’d compliment Naira being like look at my beautiful Bahu but never sirat even though they could be wearing the same dress and have the same face. Idk if that makes sense or is as relevant as I thought it was lol maybe I’m just trying to revise for my quiz at this point not acc talking about the show 😅

It's a good point - I think I know that study or a similar study. They gave the same photograph two different backstories (one positive, one negative) and then asked people to rank them in looks. If I recall, women ranked both versions about the same (or even the bad boy version a little higher than the good boy version) but the men consistently ranked the female photos with the worse backstory lower. So it makes sense that Manish would judge Sirat more harshly even if she's Naira's doppelganger.

more then the face what matters is their heart. Every person is different even twins. And sometimes goodness reflect in the eyes.

True. This study was a little different though - it was about the perception of goodness based on pre-existing bias, rather than the reality. The exact same picture was given two different backstories and, in the case of men ranking the female photos, the perception of attractiveness was very different depending on whether the same photo was perceived as being from a 'good' woman or a 'bad' woman. Which I guess sort of applies to Sirat vs. Naira since it is the same actress but one character was 'good' and the other 'bad'(?). i don't know Sirat's arc as I had stopped watching by that time.

I Stopped watching after Kartik and Naira’s angle started. Somehow I couldn’t resonate with Kaira. But I have watched sirat when new gen was introduced. She knew aarohi has issues with akshara infact everyone knew but none from family intervened. Sirat used to only tell akshara to understand aarohi. She used to ask aarohi to behave properly with akshara because she is elder sister but nothing came across as firm. Her voice modulation was irritating too. I cannot judge both sirat and Naira.

Sounds like at least the writers kept consisten about Arohi's bad behavior being tolerated more than Akshara in going from S2 to S3. I saw some clips of Sirat with a Rajasthani (?) accent and hoo boy, it was grating! Naira was not the greatest character either - like Akshara, she often did unnecessary and illogical things that were really harmful to the people closest to her.

yeah, aarohi’s character is very consistent. She didn’t like Akshara even before she knew about being her half sibling. She would also demean her. Aarohi used to call herself princess and akshara ordinary girl 😂 Akshara was same - she wouldn’t share what’s in her heart from a very young age. Yes. Sirat had most annoying rajasthani accent when came but when girls got older her accent was gone and would talk in weird soft tone- all the accents were annoying. For me Naira was too loud and I felt she is over acting - hence I stopped Kaira story

Sirat truly loved Kaishu! In fact, in her earliest scenes we see her worried about her ability to care for them because she’s insecure as her mom wasn’t the best and she wants them to have THE BEST mom. Sirats always placed Akshu and Kairav as her first priority, often favoured Akshu before Aaru. Also Kairav loved sirat so much! I don’t understand why we don’t see Kairav mentioning Naira and Sirat more because he got to bond with both so much and has so many memories.

Sirat as a mom is why I love Sirat. I think I resonated with her the most because, at times, Naira and Akshara (Hina) were too unattainable for me as ideals (even tho I love them more and for longer).

Manish never gave her a chance which is sad. Another thing I liked about Sirat is that she respected Naira, often seen talking to her pictures, admiring her, or even trying to steal Naira’s picture because she saw Naira as a guiding figure. She was made to become insecure of Naira because she knew Naira was the best and she wanted to be as close to the best as she could for Kaishu’s sake.
