Any festival or occasion that deals with suhaag or Devi can have a haldi kunku.

Basically you call all married ladies, relatives and neighbours to your home and depending upon the season in which it is conducted, the snacks and customs differ.

If it's on Makar sankranti... It has til (sesame) laddoo and some simple snacks.. also, there is a custom called 'vaan dene'... Which is like a small gift.. for the first 5 years of married life, it has to be anything from 16 singar items. Supposed to be done every year and after 5 years it can be anything as per your budget.

If it's in chaitragauri (like the one BK is planning) then it's chana dal ka ek recipe and aam panna.. chaitra is first month of Hindu new year. Falls in summer so the snacks are season related.

If it's in Mahalaxmi (4 days after ganesh chaturthi.. goes on for 3 days)... It's the Prasad which is made for Mahalaxmi Gauri as snacks. This Prasad is especially revered and cannot be refused.

BK cannot do it as she is a widow.

Another general custom Marathi households follow is whenever you are leaving someone's house... Even if it's a casual meet-up, the lady of the house anoints you with haldi kunku as a gesture and you are supposed to reciprocate.

For unmarried girls it's only kunku/kumkum. No haldi.

Arey Bk nahi ki .. toh kya why didn’t ashwini , Sonali , Mansi do it for their bahus .. Haldi kum kum need not be grand but has to be done by evry suhagan .. even older ladies do it how did Sonali ashwini skip it ..

They do grand festivals like Shivratri , holi for colony but skip basic but regular suhagan wale festivals

Ashwini looked genuinely happy at Sai's result. The way she hugged her and kissed her was so sweet. Just like the old Ashwini we knew.

Also precap main she is looking so disturbed seeing BK playing with Sai's marksheets. Jaan hi le legi BK ki.

Also another notable change in this power shift is Ash has a prominent position in the house thanks to her DIL. Ash now sits with BK as compared to her standing like a servant earlier.

These minute details are praiseworthy.

I dont like Ash still and have not forgiven her but for Sai its water under the bridge. Anyway, as long as Sai gets the love I am fine. ❤️
