I understand the TRP is calculated only on few households... But with this deliberate clipping and adding scenes.. it looks like an attempt to pull online audience to TV views

Even if online audience watch it on TV, it will only matter if their sets are a part of those selective households TRPs

That's the whole idea of TRP.. which is why it's not really reliable.

TRP is calculated based on few households who have a specific box attached to TV that collects information about which channel, which program was watched etc.

It doesnt give total viewership. Only few thousand households in a country like India

I know... But it will drive the buzz na... Especially with IPL season... People might tune in for half an hour ... Just guessing.

It will. You know what happened yesterday. Since I was watching television show after a long time on TV, I ended up watching 3 more shows after Ghum. Irrespective of whether I follow or not 😆

I think there are also specific points the TRP is recorded...start of the episode, back from a break etc...which records whether people are actually tuning in or surfing.

Definitely the sample size is not large enough. That's what the producers have been fighting for so many years.

Right...it says 45,000...for 1 billion?

Such a small sampling...makes no sense
