Cheetah is maha useless. how is it that a civilian (billu isn't a cop nor a prisoner) was able to convince the girl than the actual officer himself?

Pushpa ji's lalla rant in the middle of the counselling session annoyed me today. I am starting to think that haseena wasn't wrong in handing off the responsibility to Karishma. the girl is on the verge of committing suicide, I expected mature and sensitive conversation around this, especially from Pushpa Ji who is apparently a qualified counsellor.

I've read some posts from the previous episode about this case's topic- suicide. as much as I am pro-life, my opinion on the subject differs a little.

suicide while isn't something I would encourage. I wouldn't want anyone to go through it as well. it's sad and leaves a kind of pain the victims loved ones may never recover from especially if they have questions left unanswered.

that being said, I don't think it's fair to judge anyone who does contemplate the idea/thought/action of suicide. I am not in their shoes. I don't know what that person has been through. I don't know how much anguish that person must have endured to reach this point in their life where they see no other option left. I am no one to say whether this decision is right or wrong. which is also why haseena's line in the episode about the generation seeing this as a trend didn't exactly sit well with me. it's tragic but it's also a choice - similar to the whole euthanasia debate.

as for amrita, her situation was completely relatable to me. I've been there before and in a way, i understand the pressure she speaks off. I was spiralling faster and harder than she was just days before the release of my GCE paper results. it's like a balloon that's constantly being filled up and you don't wanna let it pop. but when it does, it's loud, fast, painful and more often than not, you don't see it coming. ultimately it comes down to expectations; from ourselves, elders, peers and anyone else that matters. the scene where her amrita's bhaiya, bhabhi were talking about organizing a party summed up these expectations pretty well.

so according to what we've been shown today, I have crafted a rough timeline of haseena's life.

when she was in primary school (around six to twelve), her father was transferred to lucknow. in school, she was teased, name called and probably bullied. now I am not an expert but I know that early life experiences such as these can be traumatising for a child. according to Erikson's psychosocial theory, haseena would have been in the "industry vs inferiority" stage of life at that time. during this period, a child's social circle, interactions, world view and the social world start to expand; school being the pivotal venue where these instances occur. the experiences they go through during this stage shape their self-image as well as cultivate a sense of pride in themselves and their identity. so if haseena did indeed get bullied, it would have caused her self esteem to dip and potentially cause feelings of inadequacy to stir within her. perhaps that is why she is so afraid to recall those moments or be around those people again; it forces her to relive the moments of her life that made her feel insecure and inferior to her peers. other than that an unpleasant memory like that is best left forgotten.

after she left primary school and entered what I assume to be secondary/tertiary education, she decided to shed that self-conscious image and become this confident version of herself. to compensate for her lack of gusto in her pre-adolescent years, she became this version that people feared. tit for tat kinda thing? possibly. it is also statistically proven that victims of bullying may end up being bullies themselves. I am not saying haseena was a cold-blooded malicious student that went around creating a ruckus just because. she could. rather, I headcanon her as a child who was trying to deal with all the adversities thrown at her, trauma and pain and rage in the only way she could- retaliation and the primitive need to protect herself.

but as she grew up, matured as an adult, and received wisdom bestowed upon her by her beloved father (age, as well as the passing of her father, could have been a possible catalyst), she became much more self-assured and confident in herself. she learned to control her emotions and use them as her strength instead of letting them become a weakness that would hold her back. all this has resulted in the haseena we witnessed today.

Karishma has yet again proven to be the best friend everybody wants and needs in life- the one who doesn't force you to speak but nonetheless knows how to motivate and make you face your fears so that you can grow as an individual. that was such a nice character moment because, for the first time in a while, she didn't misunderstand haseena. in fact, she knew that something was up and dealt with the matter calmly. character development going strong.

also worth mentioning is that haseena has started to open up to Karishma bit by bit, a tiny whiny bit. character development right there.

one more thing, the pharmacist is a good samaritan and socially responsible citizen. he didn't give amrita the pills and requested for an adult to present/show him a valid prescription.

"Gadhe ke laat par aur Billu the spy ki baat par kabhi sandhe nahi karte nitthalle" 😆

Aye haye Billu ji 🤣 It's about time Billu is appointed as a constable (or whatever is the lowest rank in the police station). After all, he did pass his police exams as per one of the very early episodes and he usually does a lot more work than Cheetah😆😆

Special appreciation to the Billu turned Pushpa JI. he looked so pretty in the get-up. 😆

Precap was interesting. Seems like Haseena will dress up in a not so classy way and go to the party where everyone will once again make fun of her and voila Haseena will be like, excuse you, ordinary people, I am the Haseena Mallik. SHO, Haseena Mallik. and everyone will be awestruck 😆😆 Well not exactly in my way but you get the point, right? 🤣

I am actually looking forward to seeing this side of Haseena. An anxious and fearful Haseena is something new and am glad it's happening. Seeing her anxious look and then tearful look yesterday was something extraordinary coz our Haseena is not the type to show her this side to everyone. Am glad she is allowing people to see this side of her as well. She is gradually breaking down her walls.

For the first time we saw an anxious and vulnerable Haseena Mallik, to an extent that her hands shook while texting her ex-classmate. We have always seen a girl who stood strong facing the world with her head held high no matter what life threw at her. But seeing this shade of Haseena Mallik made me fall for her more. She was so vulnerable, burdened by her insecurities, all scared to face her past. The scars that were imprinted on her innocent mind during her childhood are still deep. She was humiliated, forced to feel like a looser and stripped of her confidence. The lone tear that escaped her eyes proved that those haunting memories never left her.

But if life gave her thousand Punit then it also gave her one Karishma Singh, someone we all need in our lives. We all need someone who believes in our abilities even when we start losing the belief in ourselves. She motivated her Maddam Sir like no other could have done. She didn't judge her for her insecurities but tried understanding her. She reminded her how far Haseena Mallik has come in her life. It was Karishma's trust that forced Haseena to fight against her fear. She knew her Maddam Sir could never lose a game. The way she held her hands reminded me of episode where Haseena held Karishma's hands to encourage and assure her when Karishma was undergoing anger management training. These both might be each other’s worst enemies at times but slowly they are learning to be each other’s solace as well. Destination might be far away but the journey which they are on is so beautiful and precious.

Entire sequence I couldn't look away from Karishma Singh. This girl cherish her relationships like no other can do.

Aap kitni mazboot hain na aap har us aurat se puchiye jo aapko dekhkar apne aurat hone par garv mehsoos karti hain.

And yes I'm one of them.

Haseena Mallik kisi vyakti ka naam nhi hai. Haseena Mallik ek soch ka naam hai, ek aisi soch jisne na jane kitni ladkiyon ko apne boote par pehchan banane ki prerna di hai.

Koi bhi jung Maddam Sir ki sehen Shakti or unke honsle se badhkar nhi ho sakti. This one line describes Haseena Mallik for me.

Heyyy, I'm back after a hectic week plus of finals and moving cities! Damn I realized how addicted I am to the show and this forum. Every single day that I was absent felt like a huge part of my life was missing, and despite so much happening around me I was only looking forward to coming back here. Idk what I'll do once the show ends...
Also, sorry if anyone's notifications got spammed 😆 I caught up on all the posts from the last week and couldn't help reacting.

My couple cents from the last 3 cases:

1. Bhes and superstition: so HM's unwillingness to take the bhes' responsibility was never clarified, she kept directing KS to find the thief while she'll handle the superstition case instead. Also didn't understand why the DSP and politician agreed to be part of a plan for a case that had nothing to do with their current problem - missing bhes. Or did HM already know that the 2 cases were connected, well before KS found the evidence?

2. Fast-food addiction:
a. HM was unecessarily rude to KS in the last 2 cases, about the cricket fiasco and 'na-farmani'. Both times KS had actually shown so much self-control and patience, still got rebuked. Yet this case begins with KS trying to prove her patience to HM, heh? Does HM still have some memory loss, did she not see how KS mostly kept her hands and feet to herself during the 3 month urmila stint? Seems KS is better off showing bhaukaal if she's going to get criticized regardless, atleast its cooler for us to watch. Coming to this case though, after so long, KS actually did shut off her sane mind and wrongly bring the fruit vendor, but no repurcussions came of it (except the blackmailing obviously).

b. HM taking away Pushpaji's counselling - I know you guys extensively discussed HM's reasoning for the decision and how right/wrong it was, and I can agree with all of those theories. But what I didn't understand and what really bothered me was HM's behaviour and tone - who was the person talking, urmila or haseena? Why did she come off as insensitive or annoyed, even when pushaji started crying? You're telling someone that their job is at stake, someone who still has some dreams and wishes left to fulfil in their job and love it dearly. Plus this is someone who treats HM as her daughter, comparitively how would KS tell pushpaji something so serious that is bound to hurt her. And if it's all a joke or to teach a lesson or some other purpose, where was the reveal and clarification afterwards? I honestly felt bad for pushpaji in that moment, and even angrier at HM for being so blunt about it.

3. Failures: nothing really except noticing a slight difference between the way HM and KS uplift each other. Haseena always tells karishma 'I've never doubted your abilities and dedication' and pushes her to do better each time regarding juzbaat, patience, anger etc. Even during karishma's anger management course, haseena assured her that she'll suceed eventually. In this case, and a few times before as well, karishma tells haseena how great she is, someone she and all women can trust blindly, everyone's saviour, the one with the magic wand, etc. Haseena shows faith that karishma can get there, and karishma shows faith that haseena is already there. I guess that's obvious considering their senior-junior or guru-shishya bond. But I think its time haseena show faith that karishma is also 'there' or atleast 'somewhere up there'. Karishma has had this insecurity and inferiority complex about being a successful police officer and leader since haseena's entry. On top of that now she's also obsessed about becoming the ideal person per haseena's expectations. Haseena has got to have figured that out by now, but does nothing to relieve karishma's insecurities, just keeps adding to it by saying stuff like 'I thought you were ___ but you're not'. When can we see HM bring KS out of the burden of her 'failures'? The post-mission reunion was the perfect time to atleast relieve some of that burden, that KS did not fail to take revenge from HM's killers and save the nation with the pendrive. But nope. Now that I think of it, its almost ironic that karishma is the motivator in this case, considering that she has probably 'failed' the most in her police duty (by haseena's standards, and the ensuing messes), but she has also been mentally burdened by those failures the most. Haseena might sulk for a day when remembering those moments, but karishma lives those failures day and night through her insecurities and constant need to prove herself.

I think I agreed with pretty much everything you all mentioned so far.

Haayee I didn't think I would really be missed! I was certainly missing you all like crazy. The clock would hit 11 and I knew that sainath's multiple episode review posts should be coming any minute. Then komal's replies would follow some time later or the next day, then you and rinki would eventually pitch in with analysis for a couple episodes at a time. My mind was here for so much of every day.

Saturday's episode was really good...felt like MS regained it's charm after a long time , I thought it was impossible after a certain point....hope they hold on to this charm for the next 2 years...

Wow something new to see in Saturday's episode....that girl actually failed...I thought that they would do the usual movie trope where she actually scores decent marks...
