What is Sood's problem with his girls

He is a misogynist. He doesn't want daughters, only sons, narrow minded thinking. And his problem with Priya is that, she was the one who stood up against him while the other sood ladies bowed down, seeing Priya's courage even they have somewhat learnt to stand up.
But basically, he didn't like that fact that she spoke against him, his male ego was hurt. So hence, he just behaves like a psycho...

I don't know why Sara calls him papa... maybe because he was the one who found her a husband?
