Dream life
Maybe its me but did not like Alias dress, as a bride. I like colours in weddings because they come out better in photographs compared to whites, creams.
I agree about having less lavish weddings if you do not have the means.
In the end its the choice of the couple what they want in their wedding.

The only thing is that Kapoor have enjoyed many weddings in the Bollywood film circles. When you have enjoyed music, drinks, and food at someone else's wedding. Then the formality is to pay them back by inviting them to your own wedding. They didn't have to go all out. But everyone who's weddings they have attended they could have invited. That is where the kanjoose part comes in. When you only attend people's functions and do not give the same people's functions to enjoy. But I guess if they are having money issues now they can do a better function later.
In that scenario, whoever attends wedding, gives gift.
The concept of gifts was to help Bride and Groom’s parents. In a way, when someone invites you, you give them gift.
So khane pine ka kharcha to sab log de hi dete hai. 😆

Even in the middle class families....parents take loan to have the whole marriage ceremonies and what not....people come, enjoy, criticize and leave....no one remembers if after 2 years.....the only one who remember it are te poor parents still paying the loans....its high time that the bride and the groom put their foot down and say no to all the money that is spent on the weddings....especially if one is not rich and has to take loans......when my kids get married....its going to be one simple little party for the close family and friend....if I have enough money that will go in my kid's banks to help them start their married life.
Lot of times, it’s parents who want to invite everyone coz they have been to others functions.
But many times, I have seen that Bride and Groom want lavish wedding and have ridiculous demands which parents have to agree. 🤷♀️
I am all for small wedding. Mene Khud hi small ceremony mein kiya tha. Me and my husband were very clear that we don’t want you guys (our parents) to spend on our wedding. We will bear the expense and that we want small function.
Jis tarah se sab mujhe avoid karte hain, lagta hai meri shadi ke chances bhi minimalistic hai 😭
