Vikram Batra was a very upbeat guy, but there’s no indication that he screamed his victory code. Shershaah’s script writer has spent a lot of time with his family and other soldiers from his platoon. It’s safe to say Shershah’s portrayals are closer to how it happened.

You see some people making that excuse on YouTube while comparing this scene. Battlefield is a good excuse for wooden? But the thing is Sid was like that the entire film. It wasn’t just this scene. While Abhishek portrayed the character as more upbeat. The scriptwriter was more focused on Vikram Bhatra than LOC Kargil which was about multiple heroes. But that doesn’t mean the actor did him more justice. I am amazed Sid even got the appreciation he did. It was very overhyped performance on his part.

Abhishek def got more votes here. I believe. I found Sid’s voice very flat. But it is a matter of opinion.

As I said in my previous post, I completely disagree that Sid is wooden in this scene or the rest of the movie. So there is no question of battlefield being used as an excuse here. The filmmakers and actors have done a wonderful job portraying every aspect of Shershah as realistically as possible whereas JP Dutta has perhaps taken more artistic liberties with his movie. Shershaah has been lauded as one of the more realistic Indian war movies, even getting praises from military personnel, including Sid’s performance. Definitely not overhyped.

Sid had more screen space so obviously his performance got more notice. It might have been the better film. Obviously cinema is better now compared to 20 years. Doesn’t mean Sid gave the better performance. Peace !

You didn’t offend me at all. We are having a nice mature discussion about the two actors and two movies. We completely disagree but I enjoyed the discussion 🤗
