You don't have to wait for Shivratri to do Rudra Abhishek but can do anytime of the year.

We have always done Shiv abhishek on Mondays. But I am sure the priest must have given them the right instructions.

Unrelated, and while I usually adore Alice's fashion sense, she looks really tired and exhausted, and I think the dress just highlights it even more.
