Impulsiveness came in because I've seen many comments pointing out that Abhimanyu is a strong character for doing xyz, where I feel it wasn't strength necessarily, but impulsiveness.

I respect your opinion a lot, and I see the basis you have for holding it. Thank you so much for sharing it!

Nw I understud wat u meant.....I dnt thnk Abhimanyu is a strong character at all......he is just a brute in my opinion......thnkng he is always rite & he can never mke ny mistake & wantng to treat akshu lik his personal property.......

Dnt worry. I wasn't offended.....I lke ur posts. U hv a mor neutral take.....u r not biased.....

I cannot thank you and @harshadfan21 enough for calling me neutral. I really try so it's nice to know I'm heading in the right direction, though I will admit I don't do the best job at times.

Trust me your very neutral and that is why I show interest in reading your posts and replying too. Otherwise I would have just ignored. Your writing is beautiful and very honest like I always tell you ❤️. And another reason why I can reply you freely without second thoughts.

You know you can't decide so tell him that, don't make him wait for a decision that'll never come or one that you didn't make.

Neil, I'm with Abhimanyu on this part cause he isn't being selfish with this condition. Yes, Akshara is hurting but so is he, maybe even more so considering he almost lost his mother and the woman he loved (because the Akshu he loved turned out to be someone else - someone who doesn't come back to check the accident spot for injuries or report her sister's ill use of drugs to the family). The choice Abhi made in this episode were important for his self-respect and predictive of the future dynamic between A3.

I do, however, disagree and say some actual repercussions need to be put for driving under the influence, hitting something and then fleeing, and the criminal intent Aarohi showed. Take away her car Goenkas! At least for a while. As well as something for Akshara cause she too made some mistakes. Abhi, I know you can't punish Akshu but maybe some training on how to deal with mentally ill people (suicidal ideation and risky behaviour prevention and like seminars so she is more educated), and mandatory therapy for both of them (this one is definitely not going to happen since it's itv).

Manish, very little to say about you that's new except I thank you for acknowledging Akshu too became an orphan and recognizing that it's okay for Aarohi to have malaal due to Sirat's loss but she shouldn't negate that Akshu has her share of trauma or use it against her.

I agree completely 😊 take her car goenkas please. Yes akshu should start taking her decisions people will not be there to help her everytime.

What if after marriage arohi kills manjari. If akshu can not choose what is right or wrong its not easy for abhi to help her to come out from sacrifice mode because today she accepted that she was driving a car but tomorrow she can even take the blame that she killed manjari. Somewhere she should realize her decisions will stain her relations more and more.

I am okay with abhi's decision of asking her to choose him or aru. It's like a lesson to her infuture if she does something similar she might loose him forever.

Hopefully we see the slow progression of AK character change so she can make these decisions. It’s sad that there are people like this in the world but they need the support and abhi is going to be there for her!

On a side note; AK don’t make abhi wait in the hot sun he will get more hotter😍

well said indeed, she is not making a choice here, she is again being forced by the goenkas to choose abhimanyu, which is again wrong. This has to come from within, even if she chooses arohi it's her decision, respect it and bear it's result......love can't be forced,if she wants to choose arohi let her choose her, these fools are again compelling her to do something they want....... abhimanyu is right with what he did,he could have lost his mother cause of arohi,so him putting a condition is totally justified, also i don't want him tomorrow to agree to arohi attending the wedding cause then he would make a mockery out of himself.....also arohi should atleast be fired from birla hospital for what she did

Hi.

Yes, it wasn't Akshara making a choice today. It was Manish telling her what to do. Or rather ordering her to do it. But that's not what bothered me the most. What is worrisome to me (and I'm sure for most of the Abhira shippers too, if one starts thinking from that angle), is Akshara didn't wait a second once Arohi told her that their car had been the one responsible for the accident. She ran and told Abhi despite Arohi telling her that she's going to ruin her own relationship with Abhimanyu, that he might back out of the wedding. None of those had the power to stop her. She had panic attack, she had tears, she didn't tell it to his face and hid behind a curtain, but at the end of the day, she did tell him what they did. No second thoughts. No attempts to keep quiet knowing or rather, fearing that Abhimanyu might completely break-up with her.

But today Abhimanyu asked her to choose between his love or her sister attending their wedding. An extremely small punishment considering the magnitude of what the sisters did. Yet she collapsed and is unable to choose. And THAT bothered me a lot.

The girl had been ready for a break-up yet now is unable to let go of this sister just for the duration of the wedding.

If it's an abusive relationship that she shares with Arohi, I'd rather they showed Akshara at least wanting to or fighting to get out of it instead of lumping everything under "conditioned behaviour" and / or "stockholm syndrome" or worse, make Abhimanyu come across as mean and unreasonable for wanting to separate the sisters.

As for the morality w.r.t driving under influence and not checking the accident site, ITV is incapable of showing sensitivity so no point delving into that. I know to what extent the writers can go for TRPs in the name of drama.

Sorry for barging into your thread out of blue. I'm Suvika, writer by profession / on/off watcher of this show and silent reader in this forum.

So I posted this theory earlier and it’s that every panic attack Akshara has is Aarohi or spray related. That day when she had a panic attack before she told Abhi the truth, the attack happened because she was afraid of what he’d do to Aarohi or how the truth would affect her relationship with Aarohi. Likewise, the position she’s in today (collapsed and broken) is because she can’t leave Aarohi. 6 times out of ten, the fear of losing Aarohi outweighs the fear of losing Abhimanyu. There are times when she fears losing Abhi more and chooses him, don’t get me wrong, but the way it’s been shown so far is the fear of losing Aarohi is more prominent. Probably because she takes her relationship wi the Abhi for granted. Akshara is laying on the floor in tears because she’s afraid of his reaction when she tells him she chose Aarohi, cause that’s what her silence and inaction to choose is saying.

Also thank you for contributing to my thread! It’s an hour to talk to you!

This is what I wrote in that other post:

I've seen posts theorizing about Akshu's panic attacks and why they don't happen in every stressful situation, like the confrontation with Abhimanyu yesterday (she was extremely flustered and panicked but it wasn't an attack). After some "research" (read the written updates for all episodes where she had a panic attack), I think I understand why. Akshu's panic attacks only occur during Sirat's death or Aarohi-related matters. Her first panic attack was during her interview with Mahima where she recalled Aarohi's bitter words after Sirat's death. Then, on the trip, she had a panic attack when she feared disappointing Aarohi by staying back because of the job offer. And this pattern continues with Akshu having those recent panic attacks fearing what will happen to Aarohi if the truth comes out or what will happen to their relationship should she reveal the truth.

I have yet to watch the episode due to being so busy but I have always said that Akshara must make her own choice.

No one - Abhhi, her family, Arohi or even his family should make that choice for her.

Otherwise, she is just changing one person for another who has some sort of influence/exertion over her. She is not doing it out of her own free will. She is very strong yet this dichotomy in her behaviour is interesting and suggests that her trauma is very deep seated - so Abhi should arrange for some CB therapy!👍🏼😃

Her trauma is holding her back just as Abhi's trauma is making him act like this, so autocratic and imposing such condition (which we know won't be accepted anyway). One good thing is, the gloves are off and everyone is seeing each other's true face.😃

Abhira are both hurting but are unable to reach a middle ground because their world viewpoint is from the opposite ends. Then you add their life experiences and trauma, and it acts as ties holding them back yet also pushing them towards a direction each think is the best. They should really just sit down somewhere and have an open heart to heart conversation about their core values! oh, wait that would mean logic and all this nonsense would be over soon!😆

I think the other reason Abhi is coming so strong is because he is disappointed in Akshu - for not checking if anyone was injured, for hiding something as serious as a hit and run and that despite being the older sister and always taking about right and wrong this time she kept quiet. He knows why but his disappointed that she is fallible is also driving him to this...deep down he blames Arohi for it, hence his condition. He is now rushing to 'remove' Akshu from the bad influence never mind it feeds his own need. He needs to let Akshu do what we all have been asking Akshu to do to Arohi, which is to let her make her own mistakes and learn from it. That is the only way someone grows and learns (hopefully).

Nothing much to say about the Goenka's - in this season they are just standing mouthpieces sprouting whatever. Their glory days are over now.

A part of the problem, imo, is he idolizes her, putting her up on a pedestal that she couldn’t possibly live up to. Akshu does the same with Aarohi so now that they’re realizing both are fallible, they’re trying to blame someone else (in Abhis case) or take the blame themselves (Akshu’s approach).
