I think the channels nowadays are confused about the audience that they want to cater to. The online audience increases their reach & gives free promotion but it doesn't give them trps which actually determine the profit of the shows. They just need to accept that changing the story as per the demands of the so called woke SM audience only disrupts the trp audience ka connect because as you rightly mentioned viewers actually connect to story & characters. And when the characters start behaving OOC just to prop the contrivances of the story, the audience loses the connect to the show.

Also the Sitara channel has had an unchallenged reign for too long now. They really don't have worthy competitor because all other channels become copy cat of their own shows. I think all channels do have equal opportunity to grab audience but they don't have the content. Now SG ka example le lo. The show had such good content for the 1st month but by the end of the month it has also gone into blah zone. They needed to be consistent for at least 2-3 months in the quality of the content to lure more audience.

As it is Sitara channel shows are on decline now. But no other channel is able to give a better option to the audience so the audience is stuck with the shows. Hopefully the channel actually sees reason & stops letting the PHs & makers make changes willy nilly to shows whose story was already working.

@bold: Word.....but SP also has struggle accepting when it's in decline na....lol 2 saal aish kar li by making remakes of Bengali shows and woh initial 3-4 ke success ko permanent samajh liya....lol but the dream run always ends at some point and woh time aa gaya hai inka ab cuz they've bungled whatever readymade copy/paste storylines they had available to easily run these shows at the top for another 2 years.....lol steep decline abhi se shuru ho gaya but they are still clueless that it's a combination of writing missteps and lazy copy/paste of online junta ka reactionary bakwaas.

It's always a death knell when makers start relying either on social media ke khokhle bhaashans for their script or on poorly strung together cliched tropes....lol you need hard work and coherence to make any script work - not gimmicks strung together on a day by day basis.

Honestly right now Imlie ka decline is being covered up by Anupama ka steeper decline....lol but then again they had more height to fall from na😆.....a longer way down while Imlie toh waise hi bahut time se below 3 zone mein float kar raha tha toh their decline has been more gradual but it is absolutely a decline and a decline ain't "success" in any dictionary no matter what gaslighting fangirls try to claim😆

Word about reach Star is just reaping rhe nemesis of reach of investing in an OTT platform.on such a scale and making it seamless.to be wry honest hotstar and it's convenience is what makes me tune in to most star shows and abali otherwise they do try to nor make everything as trashy as colors ka sab..🤷🏻‍♀️ but big reason is their ott platform. Baaki tih it is needed ke inko thoda laat pade on a very grand level they have made a monopoly of sorta with all the bengali remakes..but that isn't a long term sustaining behavior or idea they will eventually get the laat as simple as that if they won't stick to original.stories..and this is beyond me top that why even try to adapt or hail as adaptations when changes apni hi karni hai in every story and sabko already ruin hi karna hai instead of tweaking and fixing the issues .

I WISH I was kidding, behen....I WISH😆.....maine bhi epis nahin dekhe but got the gist from tag ke WUs....lol literally every day new cringe bakwaas hi dikh raha hai since the last 2-3 weeks....and yeah I think earlier this week tha koi scene of Maan getting fanmail from random "well wishers" who I guess saw that dance proposal video from Anu aunty of public proposal toh randomly inke fangirls ban gaye hain😕🤣.....and shaayad kuch random gifts bhi the in that fanmail like honeymoon tickets and all🤣.....like I don't know for sure but jo bhi tag mein padhaa was super bizarre and WTF so these TRPs don't surprise me one bit....next week toh aur bhi giregi at this rate😆

🤣🤣 omg I had totally forgotten this but now that you have showed this it's like a total memory refresh.. and I clearly remember it and how it got like hailed....the irony is this was already a pretty blah shivika sce e to begin with too and anika was being so maha fake in that timeline and we had felt kaafi Yada disconnection then too and abbi bhi it goes more into fake zone then original shivika but still anyway better than what jaaniyas were doing in that precap caz shivaay ka basic nature was the clewnilonwss neatness and all though isme toh sono hi pata nahi kyaa kar rahe thay shivaay la ueh version did not work on most days either but yes it was his fore thing to it is still 10000x better..

Yes SP has indeed problems in accepting that their shows audience is declining just because the shows are hanging on to the top spots by a thread. And no other channel is providing any other compelling show. Jab tak other channels don't light a fire under their asses yeh log nahi manenge & still drag the current shows.

The trp viewers while still giving > 2 ka trp is watched by less no. of people. For example, if Fliplie was being watched by more than 2 members of the family earlier, it is now being watched by only 1 but it is still giving the trp.

And if they want to cater to online audience then also they are catering to only a small section of the online audience. All of us here are online viewers only but were our opinions taken into account. We literally begged for Rapist Didi ka pf & phase out from the show for months but what did we get- a big f u from sachintino. Gultif had a good story in their hand which had many things to be explored via Adilie but suddenly they wanted to change the show into a BV/ Anupama. We didn't need Anupama in Imlie, uske liye woh show tha already. Also their execution leaves much to be desired. The show lost its plot since after the table tod shaadi when every character was butchered just to keep Didi relevant & then they literally showed Imlie continuously losing to Didi with more & more contrivances added. They made a joke of all of Imlie's principles & values, of SM & destiny.

As you said gimmicks don't run a show- story & characters do. Ab na story hai na characters- toh audience loses interest very fast. What the makers did with Imlie now they are doing with KKIS. KKIS ko abhi Imlie bana rahe hai. Matlab ek show se inko sabak nahi mila. Anyways their aish ka time will end soon.

While Anupama ka trp drop is steep it can still recover because they still have characters that people connect to. One good track will bring them back in the game. Imlie ka trp decreasing steadily is more problematic. It means that audience are losing interest continuously as the days are passing. Now they have bungled up the story as well as characters. So no new audience is going to come to the show. Reboot is the only option to drag the show for another 3-4 months. If the reboot doesn't bring an increase in trps then show will shut down in even lesser time.

So KKIS is also going Imlie route - i was hoping bigamy won’t happen.. can someone help me understand the episide tiday? 😆😆

Mandir mein sindoor lagaane ke baad Anu went into Sunny Deol ka 'oyee' wala mode for a bit telling Ronnie to back off kyunki Gun ab uski patni hai....lol bhaashan de diya ki mandir mein bhagwaan ke saamne sindoor bhara maine so Gun is my wife.....lol.....then side se when Dr. R was like dude WTF, then suddenly junoon thoda phuss ho gaya scientist saab ka and he's like oh I just did whatever felt right in the moment to stop a criminal from marrying Gun😆......

Dr. R sunaaoed to him for a bit ki should I thank you for saving Gun from a forced marriage or for disrespecting sindoor like this? lol toh yeh bas confused abla face banaake khadaa raha.....lol Dr. R basically then decided ki Gun ko yahaan se lekar jaa raha hoon main aur tum apni shaadi sambhaalo....lol beech mein Pandit ne bhi ek line maar di ki ab sindoor Gun ko lagaa diya hai toh baaki rituals ke saath usse hi shaadi karni chahiye - but everyone basically zoned out Pandit ji ka gyaan😆

Just when I thought that was it for the backtrack from Anu, then Gun madam decided usko jaane se pehle ring gift karni hai Chashmish ko....lol even after all this tamasha, Anu ka first Q to Gun after opening the gift box was ki yeh expensive ring toh nahin🤪🤣.....Gun was like no, it's not so expensive that you can't accept it....lol and Anu whole time was staring at her sindoor in guilt and confusion toh Gun was like don't worry I'll wash it off when I get home.....lol

Then a minute later, this guy again is shown thinking to himself ki Gun chaahe in rituals ko na maane, main toh maanta hoon and if rishta ban gaya hai ab Gun se, I can't marry Akriti.....lol just then Akriti ka phone aa gaya and yeh instantly phir se guilt trip ho gaya I guess....flips were happening too randomly to keep track.

Then Papa-beti ke senti scenes again and Dr. R ki health is again being shown deteriorating....lol Gun madam ne ghar jaake nahaa-dho liya but sindoor nahin mitaya and Dr. R is asking her ki nikaal do yeh toh she's like thodi der rehne do please 😆....toh he was like this ain't a fashion statement ki thode time ke liye timepass ke liye lagaa lo🤣

But Gun is basically fighting with him over this from the last scene into the precap also looks like and Dr. R is looking like he's gonna die soon after all.....sigh precap mein bol raha hai meri last wish hai ki yeh sindoor nikaal do toh she wipes it off with a tissue in anger but then 2 seconds later apna sar peetne lagti hai deewar pe to fill her maang with blood😆.....I thought nothing could get more bizarre than the bigamy but yeh Gun ka sindoor wala daura is weirder than any sindoor jaap Fliplie ever did😆

Baaki they showed Anukriti ka varmala ritual in the precap so it remains to be seen if shaadi gets completed that side cuz lag raha hai Dr. R toh marne hi waale hain for real this time.....sighhh

Things are still open ended I'd say....woh Akriti ka paranoia today that Gun might stop this shaadi and then that pandit also saying ki sindoor jisko bhara hai, usi ke saath baaki rituals complete karne chahiye, and Anu also shown feeling weighed down by the sanctity of marriage rituals with Gun....so I guess abhi bhi 1% chance hai bigamy na ho if indeed news of Dr. R ki death/poor health reaches Anu😆.....Adi ke case mein he didn't even accept any of the rituals with Imlie as valid first time na....yahaan toh khud Anu ne sindoor lagaa ke uski sanctity pe bhaashan diya😆

LOL but are we really typical online viewers also? 😆 I mean just think about it....jab hum log forum mein the, were we asking for stuff that typical online viewers ask for? Basically timing changed when ego came in between na....when the goal notably became about undoing Adilie, then they determinedly started casting around to pick up things from all the people who've spewed poison against Adilie for a year....lol all the trolls in the forum, the constant bashing on YT - wahaan se uthaa ke laaye Atif and co. bakwaas....phir they reached into Gul vaults of past typical businessman MLs to cobble together this Udhaarwala....lol and there was a readymade hate crowd online desperate to hype him as antithesis to Adi....lol so easy launching point and uske baad baaki sab cheap FFs se copy/paste karke 6 months nikaal liye....whole thing has been a study in gaslighting media practices....lol the only people it's worked on are the ones who blindly hated the OG story to begin without any capacity or interest in human nuances or the people who just randomly latched on to this as a timepass show for their hormonal fantasies....lol neither of these people constitute core TRP audience of Imlie and the numbers are reflecting that. But now the makers are too far down this road of ego and will just keep boxing themselves in....lol it's best to enjoy it with popcorn cuz all the players in this game currently are an amusing cross between ego and delusion 😆
