I agree. She is the typically subjugated daughter in law of the joint family, who used Sai because Sai raised her voice for her. She got Virat's attention towards herself and her troubled life in C NIwas.
Remember during Pulkit's kidnapping, she suddenly did a flip flop when Ninad hugged her. Of course, because she knew Virat would come back to Sai, she went later and comforted Sai.
Now she sits and drinks tea with the others. I noticed it, as so different, from earlier when she would be serving tea and standing around waiting at attention. She has started getting respect because Ninad is on her side now. And she got Ninad on her side because of Sai's efforts.
She doesn't need Sai now, because her place is cemented. If Virat marries someone else, she will behave like a mother to her too. I don't even want to talk about how she suddenly leans towards Pakhi.
Scarily, this is such a real situation. In many many families, especially joint families, the amount of respect the wife gets is directly proportional to the respect her husband gives her!!
They have shown this so subtly that it is almost beautiful that they have captured this basic feature of a joint family.
Point is I hope Sai realises it, and keeps her distance. Her respect in C Niwas is only as long as Virat is with her. I hope Sai also expresses it, even as a joke. Just like she spoke to Virat today, about ignoring him.
