Not that Imlie had any lingering feelings for Aditya but supposing she did was he advising her to bury them and be with the man who loves her more? Anyway Aditya wasn't even in contention as an option. Even if Imlie didn't choose Aryan she was never ever gonna choose Aditya so all his advice about choice was redundant.
