The more I realize it, the more pissed off I am at Vankar.
Guys we have been conned - royally. The more I learn about KD, Ghum's failures becomes apparent ...and takes astronomical proportions. Sure there was too much crassness in KD which I don't like...better to tone it down...but in terms of logic, depth, layers, characterization, KD>>>Ghum. Ghum killed off the essence of KD in all aspects. They made Virat & Sai into some biologically challenged nymphs...the less said about Pakhi, the better. And I would like to forget how they handled Virakhi angle - trauma to our brain. 😳
Bollywood has a unique gift. They would copy regional movies...sometimes even scene by scene. but the copy will be an insult to the original - flavourless, shallow ith no hint of the original film's vision. I would get amazed how they they manage to do this - but somehow, only Bollywood can do this. Thats what I am reminded of - Vankar has pulled off a Bollywood.
Leena ji should NOT give rights to her work to this PH - she might be regretting it already. Good Lord - I cannot make a mess of such a material even if I tried. Unpardonable. They wanted to change the outer personalities of Sai and Virat; that's fine. But the core motivations of the characters and their relationship should be kept intact. Here, it is confusing so many times. The very fact we have to give so many analysis proves Ghum is insuffecient in execution & writing. When I read KD scene translations, it is so crystal clear - no need for any analysis.
