Pawandeep has delivered as great rendition of Hanuman Chalisa, and likewise Salim -Suleiman have given a nice background music to it.

I quite like the fact that Pawandeep can actually mean Hanuman, and that way it feels good to see this release on Hanuman Jayanti.

PD has delivered this in his earthy, baritone voice as opposed to some of the high pitch songs he sings, and that actually suits the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa.

For Hanuman Chalisa, however, the benchmark remains Hari Om Sharan who was possibly the first person to release a musical rendition back in the late 1970s / early 1980s. I have heard so many artists after that but nothing matches the original.

If this release by PD once again popularizes Hanuman Chalisa among the youth, that will be a happy outcome.

I heard there is a concert tommarow where PD and SMP are performing. SMP gone insane. Why did she even accepted a gig in between exams? Hope she is not too tired from all this.
