In the byte, NB shows that he has absolutely no perspective about a character he has been playing for almost 500 episodes. When asked about Sairat by the interviewer instead of providing a characters pov he responds in a very silly and imo a kinda rude manner. Even if we give benefit of doubt saying he is trying to keep the "suspense" and not give away future tracks (which he claims he has no idea about anyway🙄), as the ML and as the guy essaying V- his response should have been more measured and also keeping in mind his character arc and the wishes and pulse of the audience that watches the show and will watch the byte. He should have used the opportunity to explain what V feels about Sai and the current situation- just like he explained V's reservations about Rajeev-Shivani. that part of the interview made sense but then it goes downhill. If his response had focused on trying to explain V's feelings for Sai- about what his insecurities or issues are pertaining to his wife/marriage on the show, then it would have been something to appreciate.it was a great opportunity to give his take on the character that he plays and also explain to the audience the things between the lines that they talk about when they conceptualize the plot but he may not directly say in the show through dialogues so that the audience finds a connect. Instead he responds with- whatever. I dont know. and an offhand "hojaane chahiye" but kya pata kya hoga type response. His tone clearly reeks of disinterest and arrogance and makes it seem like he doesn't care for Sairat being together or not. Yeh hai humaara ML. Waah. Is it any wonder then that he is not getting accolades or the same degree of love and appreciation anymore from many fans! I'm definitely one of many people who feel extremely sad to see a guy who is one half of our beloved Sairat behave in this manner. And what was the point of "who do you mean- Virat or Neil" to the interviewer?! The questions were being asked to the Neil who is playing Virat to explain V's pov. So its the same person only. It wasnt a question about offscreen aspects where he needed to "clarify" anything. This was such a far cry from the way he used to give insightful bytes in the past.

The interview is supposed to only reveal about Rajeev Shivani track not about SaiRat issue. That part will come in future during confession part when Neil definitely will have a free hand in revealing Virat’s point of view and his stand. Neil always maintained secrecy coming to future tracks. So this interview is relevant to present track and Virat’s approach towards that which he did with great clarity..Even Ayesha never revealed future happenings and talked about present situation. She can talk about Sai’s love and efforts due to the relevance of the story that is going more from Sai’s side of winning him back. She also says dekhte hai Kya nota hai.

Strategy is for Neil to maintain the suspense and that also will be decided by creative director only.

I am not giving explanation for Neil’s critiques but just offering my take on this and I won’t defend myself or Neil in this further

There were a 100 ways to phrase his response better. He was asked a pointed question by the interviewer about the future of Sai-Virat and whether they will end up together. For example he could have said- filhaal, vo bass apne Bua ko lekar pareshaan hai toh aage dekhna padega ki Sai usko apna nazariya samjha paati hai ya nahi. The tone and mannerisms in replies are a big part of interviews/bytes as well. Theres a clear difference in the way Ayesha conducts herself in bytes/interviews and what NB has done. Ayesha never gives away the plot but she very often explains what each character is feeling- especially Sai but even others- and why they feel that way. I am certain that if Ayesha was asked this question or even if she was asked what V must be thinking about Sairat, she would have given a much more articulate response. She has never been so offhand, casual and disinterested when she speaks about the show, the plot, the tracks etc.

I deliberately tried to not speak about Ayesha vs Neil in my post but since it has been raised, I am putting forth my opinion.

Theres absolutely no scope for comparison right now between Ayesha and Neil in terms of performance graph and off screen conduct. Imo, Ayesha has proven herself as way superior. Period. She is elevating ordinary scenes into good and nonsense scenes into watchable. And her offscreen persona is just icing on the cake because that manages to get viewers to connect with her.

I personally expected better from NB even though i havent watched any of his prior shows- mainly because I have seen better in the past in this very show . Sadly he continues to disappoint. Hopefully his performance graph which has just about started to get back on track wont get derailed again.

This was exactly what I was trying to say. This is not the same Neil who used to give interviews last year. He used to give insightful opinions which helped us viewers connect with the characters. Now his response was just plain and lacked depth. Its either his lack of interest anymore or he does not want to really talk much about Sairat and their dynamics. There is definitely a disconnect which is the main reason many viewers, including me feel alienated from him.

Reality show ke baare me pucha hota toh shaayad he would have been all enthusiastic. 🙄 But he seems completely disinterested in Sairat or explaining Vs take on how V feels about Sai etc. And thats just sad. He knows that Sairat was what propelled the show to so much popularity. If nothing, he could have just smiled and said- jaan neh ke liye dekhte rahiye ghkkpm mon to saturday....and made it a joke. But he has instead shown his casual attitude. It was really ironical imo that in the same vein he is talking about all the "hardwork" and behind the scenes efforts that go into putting out the show episodes. Perhaps he can value all that effort being invested by many people in the cast/crew by being more articulate and insightful in his bytes. His body language reeked of disinterest.

He wants praises for the scenes Virat acts like a douche with Sai & his scenes with his wife on-screen. 🤗
