Leena aunty ko KKIS main apni creativity kyu evolve karni thi?! Ek hi toh show tha with good happy family with no bigamy dur dur tak😆.

SP walo ke paas koi guaranteed option nahi hai abhi. Leena mata ke Bengali shows ke remake se se hi inki gaadi chal rahi hai. They have screwed themselves for long term in the lalach of short term quick returns.

Also they have made errors in giving slot to the shows. Early evening slot is good enough for hormonal couple wale shows like SAKK & Mehendi. A family show like KKIS required prime time slot. It's Marathi remake is on prime time slot & gaining high trps. This show needs access to prime time audience not this behuda twist.

Copy cat doesn't work for every show. Imlie & Ghum ka formula will not work for newer shows because inn shows ki audience actually torture hoke pak chuki hai. No one wants to watch another Didi show in their lives ever especially me🤣. Abhi inki bachi kuchi audience bhi bhaag jayegi after satisfying their curiosity about this double shaadi😆. Unlike Imlie & Ghum, Gun has no reason to stay with Anu & his fam. So they cannot show their interactions just happening by happenstance daily.

Sanskaari shows ka return is doubtful. We have Devi devtao ke shows for sanskaari audience😆. Sanskaari hona is regressive & not woke nowadays😂. But never say never I guess😆.

We didn't like Shivaay cuz he was "powerful businessman".....lol well for me toh personally I liked him for his genuine love for family and his protectiveness for them which wasn't built on pretentious bhaashans and 2 Rs badla😆....heck even the Shivaay grappling with people targeting his family had more conviction than ASR and his Jeeju ka badla😆.....but logon ko bas labels mein interest hai isliye kabhi Om ko chadhaao as "different" and ab is ASR ko.....lol when the commonality is the same empty pretentious dialogues and in the latter's case, a career built on tearing others down😆

I have watched Decoupled actually and I was thinking about it while writing my reply!😆 City people are all puffed up in their sense of moral superiority which they think is justified by their 'education' whereas country folk are unsophisticated & illiterate. Progression is another word which is vague and defined without parameters just like equality...when people say progress, I think progress towards what?😆 What is the end goal here? The goalpost for progress also keeps moving because it is human nature to never be satisfied.😆 I say when people impose this kind of 'progress' on someone like Imlie, they are also practicing Malini Didi's brand of elitism.

Re Om: Haha I think you said it perfectly in your last line. Om and ASR both are based on the same pretentious template. See they both have that DARD bhara background too that elicits buckets of tears and compassion from their fangirls.😆

About Shivaay - his rich businessman persona did not even register on me one bit. I only liked him for his great wall of Shivaay aura, which came from his genuine love and protectiveness for his family. The fact that he did not have a sad past helped, no doubt.😆 I also liked his goofy and dorky side.😳 I could also see where he was coming from with his NKK obsession...this was the main conflict in his character and I think I could take it seriously. It may be politically incorrect to say this in the age of (forced) equality, but I think a person's ancestry and upbringing makes a huge impact on their character. Obviously Shivaay went too far with his prejudice, but my main point is that his prejudice had a solid basis.

Nothing can boost TRPs now cuz they've hollowed out the core story and characters too much....all they can try are intermittent gimmicks to get a 0.1 rise or fall here or there....but I think these two months of IPL will seal Imlie's fate in many ways....makers are clearly struggling to find a story to run this but kahin daal nahin gal rahi....lol channel keeping this show running is in a sense torture for them also but makers have too much ego to admit it😆

Was IPK really a big trp hit? I thought it was only more famous with out of India audience. I never watched it real time. Anyways not as if the beauty pageant track was a hit in that show🤔. Yeh failed tracks ko phir se kyu reuse kar rahe hai bhondu log🤓. At least have dimaag to use some hit tracks😆.

Agreed 💯% with you ki nothing will boost Trps for the show now. Not even Adilie reunion because they have ruined Fliplie & Adilie relationship so badly😆. Iss show ko bas ab downhill hi jaana hai because no one is interested in the titular character of the show- she is nothing but a vessel for hormonal Jaaniya fandom to fulfill their fantasies. @bold: This exactly....that is what that episode of Decoupled also highlighted....this puffed up moral superiority that city folk feel that supposedly their education alone gives them sweeping superiority over all village folk.....lol they treat village folk like some exotic exhibits at a zoo that they can ogle or ooh/ahh at rather than considering them actual flesh and blood human beings with their own defined set of values/culture.

The generalizations are so reductionist on both sides....not all educated city folks actually have common sense, ethics and decency and neither are they all creepy lechers....same way not all village folk are "regressive" over lack of education nor are they automatically morally superior.....but the world these days runs on assigning sweeping labels quickly so that morchas can be taken out accordingly 😆

Re: Shivaay.....lol word....and I think we discussed this back then also ki one of the main reasons we connected to him was the lack of sobby backstory - again, a major reason he was trashed by certain sections of social media waale cuz they can't comprehend a character who can have his flaws without needing a sobby backstory to justify it😆.

NKK as a concept kuch logon ki samajh se baahar tha for the same reason they haven't understood the ilk of Malini types to this day....they only respond to pretentiousness....lol the more pretentious you are, the better....whether it's Om, Malini or now this Udhaarwala....same basic template just tweaked to different degrees of pretension. Shivaay was a stylized character but he was never pretentious at his core....lol he was a true blue DORK at heart😆. NKK as a concept is the cold hard truth of prejudice in society - but again because it wasn't dressed up in pretentiousness, the junta that prefers 1D stuff rejected it and labeled Shivaay as an untenable character😆. They did the same with Adi regarding bigamy....lol granted that bigamy fell in more of a grey area than NKK which was an IDEOLOGY rather than an action....but basic modus operandi was same for declaring someone untenable....lol ki subtract all context/basis for something and declare someone "unrepentant" if they try to EXPLAIN the greys of what they are thinking/feeling rather than playing victim or immediately apologizing😆.

NKK was stating the uncomfortable truth ki no matter how much you lagaao naare of equality in society, prejudices remain in the human psyche consciously/subconsciously about a person's background/social status....and a person's experiences help them process/overcome these rather than just making declarations and presuming you've fixed inequality in society😆

Shivaay ke case mein he always explained where his NKK was coming from even when he could see it was hurting Anika....he didn't LIE about what his core ideology was even as he struggled with overcoming it. Adi was similar in the way he was honest about every step with Imlie.....he didn't hide the bigamy from her even as he struggled with hurting her.....but log is sab ko blanket label of toxic/EMA bolke rafaa dafaa kar dete hain rather than understanding where conviction in a story/characters comes from.
