I think Abhi needs to realize that he and Ak are a unit now.
If he does something uska effect directly Ak ko jata hai and if Ak does something uska effect Abhi pe padega.

Yeh realization Abhi ka growth hoga. But everything is loading at the same time. And it’s not going to be pretty.

I totally agree, Ash! I mentioned this yesterday as well. All of their decisions now have a direct impact on each other. But, these types of things take time. He will learn how to control his impulses and act in moderation just like Akshu is learning to speak up and prioritize him! They are still in the early stages of their relationship! And anyways everything will be blown out of proportion for TRPs so that Akshu can get extra tortured at her sasural and TRP aunties can have their sadistic pleasure.
