Yeah, PB had some great content for discussion in it heydays...the evolution for the equations felt totally wholesome and authentic. Nothing was gimmicky about it and it didn't feel like the writers were merely checking things off a predetermined list. Solid attempt at showing a woman (Babita) empowering herself too.

LOL oh I see....it was probably an even better show to binge-watch after S1 finished so you didn't have to deal with the disappointment of the mess in real-time😆.....and here I'm presuming you only mean S1 - unless you were a fan of the maha lame S2 storyline of 16 year old Ashnoor being paired up with SRJ😆

They ruined HS so badly, it was quite heartbreaking in real time.....but now I zone that out and focus on the good evolution we got in the heydays. Word on Babita getting a solid attempt at empowerment without some man needing to pompously parade around about his so called expertise on "empowerment"🤪......woh baat aur hai that by the end they again reduced Babita to someone who measured her worth through being someone's wife.....but anyways I zone out that disappointing end too😆......the initial 100 epis of HS-Mini-Babita were solid.

I think the main issue is that the audience wasn't ready for such a convoluted story...because they aren't used to it. When the tradition in ITV is to spoonfeed audience about who's good and evil by establishing clear cut boundaries between them...and always holding third parties (villains/vamps) responsible for the problems in the FL's life (who is an eternal bechaari😆), it's easy to scapegoat the ML for everything. The claims that Imlie was a teenage nasamajh bachchi are kind of funny. Firstly, she never acted like a 'teenager' after getting married to Adi...she always acted like this serene & wise woman who's ready to give understanding to Adi without expecting anything in return. She basically talked her self up a lot but failed to walk the walk. I can understand teenagers being nasamajh and making wild declarations but no one's character changes overnight the way Imlie's has. Her character was established as a woman who's faith in Sita Maiyya and marriage underpins all her decision making....but overnight she lost her faith in her marriage, burned her MS, left Adi and parked herself in a random guy's house (while she was still married btw).😆 If she was able to walk away so easily, her 'societal conditioning' and 'Stockholm Syndrome' to her 'captor' (Adi) wasn't very powerful, eh?😛

@bold: THIS. That is the crux of Imlie in many ways.

And yes, the rest is a testament to people conditioned to seeing typical characters....whether it is the clearly defined "vamp" or the clearly defined so called "grey ML with sobby backstory"😆.....yeh dono na milein toh main leads hi cheaters, paapi, scum of the earth etc😆.....the fact that they are confused to this date about how to characterize Adilie as an EMA😆.

Imlie was a child woman like many of the FLs on ITV are more or less but her faith had that interesting paradox of naivete and wisdom in it.....that is what grounded her character in this story in a very powerful way in the middle of such convoluted circumstances. You don't destroy a faith like that when your story is already convoluted....you test that faith, maybe shake it a bit but ultimately you should REINFORCE it so that the core of the story holds. Sadly, Imlie was shown to totally forget her faith and obsess over a new false God. LOL for so long Malini was hailed as some goddess in this story and I always said she is a false God who was being glorified excessively when she was clearly a weak minded obsessive woman.....this Aryan turned out to be a new false God that Imlie latched herself on to and the makers went overboard in propping up. LOL irony wohi hai ki readymade God reference tha in the story with Sita Maiyya but makers felt the need to give Imlie other false Gods to obsess over.....pehle Didi, baad mein Boss.....lol

The makers still don't get that the story was working for so long cuz Imlie was indeed walking the walk, not just talking for the heck of it. Yes, she was a confused 18 year old dealing with a lot but her convictions had weight when she spoke - she didn't sound hollow. The first crack came when the makers showed her believing AC so randomly that Adi had gone back to Malini and she simply walked away from him over that (but not before giving a grand bhaashan to AC that she has given apna haq in daan to Malini).....lol after all Adi had said to her, after all she had seen of him when he came to PD3, she believed something like that and just walked away.....that is when the talk from Imlie started becoming hollow. But we as the audience were still willing to forgive and look past that writing fail since we thought Imlie's overall faith was still holding.....but the makers made sure to fully burn that to the ground via Imlie only.....lol

Then they proceeded to UNMAKE all her convictions.....lol from a girl who was very clear about the rights and wrongs in her life, she was shown suddenly enamored by a random rich guy who almost ran her over. LOL she left NO stone unturned to compare this guy to Adi from day one and constantly put down Adi in comparison to him - yeh baatein yeh khud bhool gayi hai ab as she plays abla victim over haaye mujhe overnight MU kaise kar liya....never bothered to clarify even for a single moment why she feels the need to hail a guy she barely knows.....but ab us sabko "unsaid rishta of dard buddies" karke mainstream kar diya.....lol

Baat wahin aake ruk gayi that if you are rich businessman, then you suddenly manage to change the whole perspective of a girl who had conviction in her roots and her faith....lol suddenly only rich businessman ka perspective becomes all knowing and all powerful and the girl who was once rooted now must remake herself in his image to "progress". 😆

Mujhe suddenly yaad aaya ki Om used to have his general fanbase in IB who used to claim he is the best character cuz he is so unlike Shivaay the "typical rude businessman ML"😆....then the same Om was turned into a cheap Shivaay clone when DBO started cuz woh bhi suddenly "businessman" ban gaya tha😆.....and the same fangirls who once hailed Om for being "different" from Shivaay were suddenly hailing how "hot" he is as this "businessman" and ab chemistry dikh rahi hai logon ko cuz rude businessman ke saamne illiterate bubbly FL thi.....lol sound familiar? So Imlie was rendered the same....suddenly there was "chemistry" only when wannabe rude businessman character appeared. Everything before this was Stockholm Syndrome, EMA, doormat Imlie😆

And faith? Woh kya hota hai? lol it was never needed in these stories anyways unless it's there to provide token bhaashans to rude BUSINESSMAN ML......remember BUSINESSMAN is a must.....ek aam aadmi ki deffo koi aukaat nahin for fangirls 😆

Oh and I forgot to add one more point.

Log jhoot and lack of trust ki baat karte hain na? Sabse pehla jhoot IMLIE ne bola tha is kahaani mein....lol she set the ball rolling by first immediately offering to never tell anyone they are married and then lying to the Ts that she is a naukraani....uske baad Adi ko bhi himmat mil gayi to keep the lie going and not telling anyone her truth.....lol people act like Adi paida hi jhoot bolne ko hua tha. Seekha toh isne Imlie madam se hi na.....this was the guy who was so dumb about lying that he almost blurted out to PD waale that he is a reporter on day one.....lol....Imlie was the one who always found lying easier.

They basically showed the circumstantial nature of how good people also fall prey to lying and then get further pulled into that quicksand....that is what happened with both Adi and Imlie who lied for different reasons and at different times....but now suddenly Adi alone is being demonized for lies that Imlie initiated and helped propagate. This is what Malini fangirls always wanted to tear her down for and we used to defend Imlie because we used to look at the story as a whole rather than looking for scapegoats as is the ilk of Didi and Udharwala fangirls....lol alas makers chose to pander to the latter and are now enjoying 2.3 TRPs😆

Dunno if all the Adi hating exercises leave any of these people remembering the Adi who didn't lie to Imlie about anything from the first moment he met her....he was clear from the beginning that he was committed to someone back in the city but Imlie chose to marry him while knowing everything by claiming she didn't have any expectations from him.....lol only to flip that badly on him in the long run to make it seem like he was two-timing her all along. Two-timing ka matlab tak nahin pata logon ko but story chalaane ke liye Adi was the easiest scapegoat to twist things around.

LOL for the first 100 epis, Adi trying to walk way from his forced marriage was cause to hate on him, then next 100 epis Adi trying to live his truth and standing for his true love was cause to hate him, then next 100 epis after that, Adi getting constantly mentally/emotionally tortured/manipulated by Rapist Didi was still somehow cause to hate HIM.....lol waah re junta.....cuz the two women involved in this mess toh were just passive ablas watching life happen to them na😆....actions toh bas Adi ne liye in 300 epis - the women were merely spectators waiting to latch on to whatever helps them play victim in any given phase.....lol

And then after all that started the phase of maha brainless Imlie who has no independent thinking of her own beyond whatever her Jaaniya bhagwaan tells her about who is the eternal villain of her life.....lol who is the real two-timer then when she silently stands by as people twist everything that happened between her and Adi and allow them carte blanche to paint him as some two-timer cheating on her? Who was the one that betrayed the actual core of her relationship to Adi after dragging him around like a puppet ki kabhi bol do rishta khatam hogaya, sab jalaa diya, then lay down conditions ki oh maybe I'll come back to you, then few weeks later openly choose a man you barely knew a month back over the guy you claim you loved.....lol

She herself KNEW that Adi marrying Malini didn't mean he ever loved Malini or wanted to be with her.....she knew this was him getting DUPED again but she stood by silently as others painted that as a real marriage.....lol infact she joined the mocking party while knowing fully well that Adi had no investment in that shaadi.....she mocked him for the baby produced out of him being raped.....the list is endless....and yet somehow she is the only true victim who was just existing in life until the great Jaaniya bhagwaan showed up to tell her what she truly needs - endless physical abuse/dangal to feel truly alive👏.....lol indeed she was wasting one year of her life with a guy who didn't bother doing any of this with her - a guy who thought there was respect and understanding in their relationship only to learn that what Imlie was actually seeking was a guy with most superficial dard story she can latch on to and then find some strange physical gratification from.....lol

I don't get why people still operate under the delusion that Adilie were intended to be seperated all along......there was nothing indicating this in the story given all the heavy investment and build up in Adilie since day one - the theme song was theirs, the first shaadi was theirs, every symbolism was only theirs.....pata nahin kis basis pe log itne sweeping presumptions kar rahe hain😆......simply cuz GM left? So they want to claim that GM joined this show knowing all along that Adilie will fall apart so he will leave soon?😆 Waah waah.

Just cuz Didi fangirls hated on Adi so much, their personal distaste seems to be extrapolating all along into presuming this is why Adilie were never going to be together.....lol cuz they always thought this show was Malini's story for some strange reason when all she did was hang around being a bland bimbo.....lol

Anyone who actually followed the story without lame knee-jerk reactions, judgements or desperation for hormonal shit would have seen that it was a story about Adilie fighting to be together against impossible odds. Makers deliberately changed it after their over-obsession with Rapist vamp Malini.....this was the Gul factor entering the original story when they decided for whatever reason that they can't follow the rest of the readymade script available. LOL she literally has this formula in every show since QH so are people now going to claim none of the pairs in those shows were true soulmates either cuz the vamps plotted against them till death? 😆

The story was changed deliberately to drag out Malini's endless depraved schemes, demean Adi and ultimately leave nothing for the Adilie story.....this despite the fact that their TRPs were actually good when they were focusing on Adilie.....lol if this really is all business as the makers like to claim, dunno which numbers they were catering to with destroying Adilie.....lol it brought no new audiences to the show - the numbers are clearly up for anyone to see.....so how can it have been the "plan all along"? lol the truth is that this is Gul's standard MO.....she hypes up a jodi endlessly, then gets bored with her own jodi and randomly switches tracks to vamp glorification.....this for some reason people are now claiming means she never intended for Adilie to be together.....lol no, the truth is that at any given point, makers take random calls about what they think will increase the life of the show.....this literally fails 99% of the time in Gul land😆....but she never stops trying.....lol.....all it does is drag dead weight that isn't a patch on the original story.....but they will keep repeating these cycles.

So it's just amusing to read people claiming these randomly made decisions to be "the plan all along"😆......even when the LACK of planning is GLARINGLY obvious😆

That was so unexpected amd I also like how this felt more like an actual clip from the scene few secs I to the trailer and it feels like you are actually watching the film nd not just some trailer .. man Prithvi hardly ever fails. Vijay D ko toh KJo ne off track kar diya lagta hai😆.....but anyways apne ko toh movie se matlab hota hai and this one looks good on its own merit....so hopefully the whole things turns out good.
