After having the breakfast. ShiVi got ready and they sat in the open vintage car which the peon handed them with the house.
Raavi wore a simple white knee lenght flowy dress while shiva was wearing his rustic style clothes.
Raavi had a visiting card on which address of Joseph Decosta was mentioned. They headed towards the place.
Here they stood in front of a rustic beachside restaurant which had special traditional pondicherry dishes. They entered inside and were about to ask about joseph but the lady on the counter says,
"Wohi ankhein........ Wohi naak......... Ikk tym ke liye aise laga jaise mrs. captain khud mere samne aa gayi ho......... But your eyes are like our captain....
If i am not wrong you are Raavi daughter of our captain Vikram Shah"
Raavi looked at them in confusion as how could they know her as she never seen her and then a man having a lean body and tall wearing a literal beach side shirt came with a accordian(instrument) in his hand playing it ever so Melodiously and comes to lady making rounds around the lady humming a song.
The lady says,
" Look joseph who is here.. . .. . "
He stops in front of raavi and instantly that jolly man who was singing and jostling around stood stunned he looked at the tatto on his wrist and his eyes grow misty, ShiVi looked at each other and than at the man and the man said, The man looked at her amazed and put his hand on her head and said,
"our Raavi......."
Raavi looked at him with moist eyes, his touch was so soothing and so parental that she felt peace just with that and she doesn't even realise when her eyes became glassy but she was still confused as how they know her without even meeting her once.......
Than the man says,
"Confused........ Ohkay let's start by introduction but first aao baitho............ "
Shiva hold raavi's hand and both sat on the table opposite both of them and the man said,
"main joseph decosta......"
"And main maria joseph decosta"
ShiVi smile and raavi says,
"Main raavi...... "
"Main shiva....... "
Joseph adds,
"Jagat ka call aaya tha bataya usne ki you are thinking of settling here........... Ghar toh mil gaya hoga na aur john ne keys de di thi na and all the belongings mil gayi na.....aur settling mein problem toh nahi huyi na........."
Shiva says,
"Jii..... John ne sab de diya tha aur sab ache se settle ho gaya hai..... "
Raavi says,
"Apne mujhe pehchana kaisa..... "
Joseph gives a warm smile and says,
"Main tumhe kaise nahi januga............ Tumhari shakal tumhari mom se itni milti hai aur tumhari aankhein wohi Sincerity hai jo tumhare dad ki aankhon mein hoti thi..............."
Raavi looks at them astonished and joseph says,
"Toh hum tumhe kaise nahi pehchange......... "
Maria adds,
"hum tumhari mom ko mrs. Captain bolte the............. Aur tumhari dad captain Vikram shah....... Hamare captain.......... We were a family....... "
Joseph says,
"Main tumhare dad ko pehli baar hamari posting par mila tha vahan vo captain the aur main vice captain............. Mere senior hote the aur mere sabse ache dost..... My best friend hamesha saath rehte the hum......... "
Maria says,
"Wahan yeh dono aur yahan tumhari mom aur main saath rehte the..... Inki 6 month long posting hoti aur hum yahan restraunts sambhalte the........
Din kab nikal jate pata hi na lagta......... Aur jab yeh log chutti par aate toh ghumna firna........ Picnic.... Family dinners........ Those were the days........ "
Raavi was indulging in the story just like a kid and joseph says,
"Captain and his love for mrs captain"
He gives a dreamy smile and continues,
"Both were deep in love..... Chahe dur ho par dil hamesha paas rehta tha........ Hamesha........ Captain itne smart the ki har ladki un par line marti thi par humare captain toh apni ladylove ke ilava kisi ko dekhte bhi nahi the........... Jab bhi h vapas aate chahe jo ho jaye vo tumhari mom ke liye kuch na kuch gift jaroor lekar aate.......... "
Maria says,
"Jab bhi inn dono ko posting ke liye chodne jate your mom...... She clinges to your father and cries and your father he used to make her stable....... Without even bothering or getting concious the surrounding.......... Pyaar they both defined this word solely........"
She continues and her eyes turn misty,
"Vo kehte hain na.. . .. . Do pyaar mein doobey panchi kab apne pyaar mein iss duniya ke pinjre ko tod LAPATA ho jate hain pata hi nahi lagta.. . .. . . "
And a lone tear escaped her eyes and joseph hold her hand and snaked his arm around her shoulder and whispered sone sweet nothings in her ear and maria laughs wiping her tears Raavi who herself had tears in her eyes looked at couple and shiva tightens his hold on her hand and both look at each other and share a warm smile and joseph says,
"Abb agar hum kahaniyan batane lag gaye toh tum log yahin reh jaoge........... Par abb toh tum log hamare saath hi rehne wale ho toh batein chalti rahengi kio kii vo log agar lapata ho gaye hain par unke kisse hamesha amar rahenge...... . "
All smile and maria says,
"Joseph let's hand them their belongings.. . .. . .. "
Joseph now stiffens a bit and says,
"Raavi, yeh jo restaurant hai tumhara aur mere dad ke naam par hai 50 50 unke jaane ke baad yeh hum dono ne sambhala hai...... Par iss par tumhara aur shiva ka hakk hai.........
Toh iski bhaag daur abb tum dono ko sambhalni hai........... Haan thoda tym lagega par main aur maria hain tumhe guide karne ke liye........... Aur haan ikk aur baat tumhare dad mere dost the toh uss naate tum meri beti jaisi hhi ho........... Iss liye yeh restaurant ki keys lo aur rakho apne paas aur mana mat karna....... Tum dono ka hakk hai........... Alright..... "
Raavi nods teary eyed and maria hand over the keys to shiva and says,
"Shiva restaurant captain ka aur joseph ka hai but captain nahi hai toh abb unke beti aur damad ko ise sambhalna hai....... Joseph accept nahi karenge par humari age ki wajah se humare liye kafi tiring ho jata hai par abb tum dono young ho aur tumhe yeh sambhalna hai....... "
Shiva holds her habd assuringly and says,
"App chinta mat kijiye........ Jaise apne raavi ko apni beti mana hai vaise hi app dono bhi hamare liye maa baba ki tarah hi hain....... Toh ajj se apki aur iss restaurant ki jimedari hamari....... "
Joseph comes near shiva and taps his shoulder in pride and says,
"Captain ka son in law toh captain ki tarah hi hai........ Raavi good choice......... "
Raavi smiles and shiva looks at her and than joseph says,
"Kal 7:30 am dono aa jana..... Will handover the work to you....... "
Maria adds,
"Chalo let's wind up tge restaurant vese bhi bhut tym ho gaya..... Batein karte huye pata hi nahi laga....... "
Four of tgem wind up the chairs and helped the chefs to place left over food in fridge and cleaning left over dishes and the table tops and tgey were done in 30 minutes. Joseph asks them to leave as it was late and getting dark as joseph and maria's house was 2to 3 footsteps away from the restaurant they walked till there and they bid a good bye. Raavi turned around and came in front of joseph and says hesitantly,
"Thank you.......... I don't know u should say it or not but thank you junior.......... "
Joseph looks at her tears escaping from her eyes and says,
"Tumhe kaise pata...... "
Raavi says,
"Dad ki diary padhi thi unhone Junior ke naam par bhut entries ki thi aur unhone likha tha junior se jyada close unki life aur koii nahi hai.......mom bhi nahi...... "
And they chuckle and joseph says,
"So you know it.......... My captain my friend........... Chalo go now warna yahin rok lunga aur jane nahi dunga......... "
Raavi laughs and hugs him and maria and they take a leave.
