Even if he denies it until he is blue in the face we all know Aryan loves Imlie (even his alter ego Aru told him the same). When she opened her eyes he was so relieved he hugged her spontaneously, without any forethought. Then of course thought caught up with action and he realised what he was doing so the denier in him let her go. Badi Maa's words just cleared the fuzz in his thoughts and helped his brain catch up to what he was doing. If he wasn't in denial even Badi Maa's protestations or knowing he had an audience would not have made him release Imlie. I'm not saying he is an exhibitionist or anything but indicators are that if Aryan is in a reciprocal loving relationship he is not the type to hold back or be embarrassed by publicly displaying this love.

I think he doesn't want imlie to understand he loves her until she stops hating him 😄.. even after that he may expect imlie to confess first 😌😁

I think two things for me.

1. He was shocked that he did that involuntarily. Because you know, he is the GONCHU SINGH RATHORE🤗🤣 This guy can emote with his eyes. He is like " did I just do that? No, I didn't"🤣

2. He has audience. HIS SISTER🤣 She is going to bug the heck out of him😃

I don't know if he broke any promises. All he said is that he is THE ASR🤣and if somebody doesn't come to him willingly, he won't go after them. He will fight tooth and nail with himself when he actually feels like he should woo her😃 And THE ASR will fail in all these super confident convictions😃Just like he said, I won't lift you anymore. Cut to next scene, he is literally lifting her in his arms and rushing away🤣 We will have a lot of fun seeing THE ASR falling flat on his face in this department🤣

I thoroughly enjoyed it👍🏼 I will while away time again today, so I might watch it again😃

Ah! I felt him dropping her suddenly is a mixture of realization of his own vulnerability and maybe a reminder of his promise that he won’t follow someone who does not want him but the person needs to come to him. 😆

Every time Imli is danger and he rescues her , his lines are pretty much the same , its almost like a mantra, Imli open your eyes, listen you are fine okay , kucch nahi hua tumhe … it’s more like a reassurance for himself than an unconscious Imli. He cannot see his Apne in peril, he says so himself in the hospital, he cannot imagine it…. Hence you can see the relief that washes over his eyes and picks her up to hug her. And seconds later it dawns - Oops I let my real feelings come out , he is fighting with himself .

Don’t think it’s got anything to do with what Badi Maa exclaims because he does not give two hoots to what others think, he has demonstrated it several times before .

I don’t think he realizes he had an audience when he hugged her, hugging her came subconsciously but when BM spoke up, he suddenly realized he’s hugging his wife in front of 4 other ladies and dropped her lol also to imlie it was like “I didn’t just do that, asr doesn’t go after people if they don’t want him” followed by his stern “tum theek ho?!” .. the hugging was the old Aru coming back and then he switched to ASR mode imo
