Another thing about the Param humshakal speculation. I don't know if they do it (but wo kya postmortem test nahi karte?) because if they do, it's highly unlikely ki Param ke hamshakal not only looks like him but also, has the same blood group and a lot of the same kind of results, like fingerprints, of course, assuming they do all that.
A more probable answer- in my opinion- would be that Param's face was burnt and they did some tests that would have confirmed it- only the test results were switched out to match Param's.Param's memory loss and brainwash could be probable, but jo cheez mujhe beech mein ajeeb lagi wo logo, jo Param ne draw kara tha about Parakaram SAF and wo uniform. Because even the slightest things can sometimes trigger back memories, and Param ki uniform rakhna, would probably make him question things. If he's drawing Parakaram SAF's logo, he is questioning about that, because if he was brainwashed against it to hate it, wo baithkar logo toh nahi banaayega.
Also, this theory leaves a couple of questions unanswered.
1- Why was Karan's body not found? As far as I know, even badly burned bodies from bomb blasts are found because they aren't burned to that extent- some might be unrecognizable because their skin is burned, but not the point. Jo bodies nahi milti, it's because they are so close to the bomb that they literally get torn apart, which wasn't the case with Karan. Even if they were more bombs, his body would be protected by the debris that had fallen on him and not be destroyed, and they should have found it. [I know koi argue kar sakta hai ki it's too much logic for ITV par why say ki Karan ki body nahi mili, if they aren't planning to bring him back.]
2- Param ko bandhi banaakar kya faida? Memory loss and coming back isn't something jo doctors bhi predict kar sakte hain. Agar kuchh aisa ho jaaye, jisse use yaad aa jaaye (which is very probable) it'll put them in a big danger. Toh Param mein itni bhi koi khaas baat nahi hai ki they need him that badly. Kisi ne recognize kar liya, jaise abhi haath laga hai koi clue waise clue haath lag jaaye, they can fail in a lot of things. Unlike Balli (whose work no one else can do), Param ki jagah kisi ko train kar sakte hain ya phir aise commando ko le sakte hain who is corrupt. Param hi kyun?
3- Param was captive and was being tortured. Kyun? Agar wo unki side par hai, already manipulated hai, toh use torture karke, captive rakhke, kya faida?

But you are right in the theories.
Scenario 1:
May be they do a post mortem and that be true, then this person is a Param lookalike and not Param himself.
If he is not Param, then why is he in captivity and tortured?
Scenario 2:
If the person indeed is Param himself, then he is in captivity for so long? Param's captors are kind enough to preserve his belongings and still torture him? Why was his license issued with a different name? Is his identity being compromised?
Finally with regard to the trends around Karan, frankly i do not have an opinion on it. Personally, if the plot is logically carved and built well enough, any character coming in an out is fine. But i know, thats a personal opinion and popular sentiment ahould be duly respected.
Also the title is Ziddi Dil Maane Na, phir woh dil Balli ka ho ya Karan ka, ki farak painda hain?

I am not sure if there is postmortem done either, toh pata nahi.
Param lookalike makes sense being there makes sense, but I doubt wo log ek hi cheez ko repeat karenge. Karan lookalike ho gaya, toh Param ka probably nahi dikhaayenge... Again, agree to the question. Kyun use torture karenge.
He is in captivity for so long, because aaj ke episode ke baad thoda sense banaata hai. He knows about the information jo uske alaawa sirf Karan ko pata thi. Ho sakta hai Param had them convinced ki even Karan doesn't know (to protect him) and sirf uske paas thi wo information, that's why they are keeping him alive because unhe wo information chahiye.
Yeh preservance and all samajh nahi aaya mujhe, and wo license bhi nahi. So, no clues about that.
As for the trend and bringing back Karan, I think logically, ek baar ke liye actually Karan ko dead bhi assume karein (😭) toh yeh dikhaana, I get, par agar wo Balli-Monami ki love story dikhaayenge, toh Emotionally bhi, no matter how good a person or how much you'll change, if that person is responsible for the death of someone you love (forget Karan; she loved him way too much; agar Sanju, Koel etc. bhi hote, toh bhi) you aren't going to ever see them in a positive light and definitely not fall in love with them, especially if it's something like this.
Galti se accident ho gaya, galti se koi mistake, I get, but Balli coming to the academy and taking Karan's place, while he was somewhere else, where he knew he was being tortured, wo toh alag baat hai. He knew Karan was being tortured, doesn't that count for anything?
As for not bringing Karan, you're right, the show is not about Karan alone, but Karan was the essence of the show. Kisi ko maarna, samajh aata hai, par Karan or really, any of the six, that's not acceptable, because people watch the show for the characters as much as they watch it for the premise. Agar show end karne ka decide kar liya hota, that's different, because that'll be an apt ending that some of them died, and there is an end episode or an epilogue kind of scene where they show the rest moving on with their duties and reminiscing them, but it'll still not be appreciated.
Beech mein, unless the actor is leaving, which Sha isn't, it doesn't make sense to kill Karan off.
Hints Balli is Karan in today's episode:
1. That face when he was staring at Monami remembering Karan like he wanted to comfort her. [Balli acts like he doesn't give two damns about Monami anymore toh uske pain se usko itna farak nahi padna chahiye.]
2. That instant reaction when she cuts her hand on the glass; reminds me of the scene in Koel track when he had punished her to clean the glass.
3. Balli isn't as aware of footsteps and noises as Karan is, and he immediately stands up and moves away when he hears Monami's footsteps.
4. He again brings up her hand when they were fighting. Thoda bahut care karta bhi hai, ladne ki beech mein toh nahi karega. Nadiyan toh baha nahi rahi thi khoon ki.
5. His expression before the episode ended; reminds me of Karan when he looked at an angry or bothered Monami and inspected her- like in episode 19, when he was looking at her after she got eve teased, inspecting her silently.

Episode starts with Karan/Bli taking blessings from Bhabhi after apologising for forgetting to touch her feet. Sanju and Faizi too tries to cover up Balli/Karan. Baby reminds Karan/Balli the pending task of teaching her riding the bicycle. Balli agrees after some hesitation. Baby asks him to do pinky promise forwarding her little finger. Balli does that. Bhabhi tells she is leaving after saying bye to Monami. Monami takes her blessings, Balli too bends to take blessings again at the same time. Bhabhi leaves.
Balli asks Sanju why she calls him only Sir and SirJi like Karan. She replies calling Sir is her duty but she adds Ji because she respects Karan and she is fulfilling her duty by calling him Sir as Batra Sir wants them to consider him as Karan but she'll never give the same place to him like her Karan SirJi. Monami and Faizi's are shown agreeing with Sanju by their facial expressions.
UstadJi comes there and informs that Col Batra has called everyone in the office. Balli gets irritated that he doesn't get time to rest. UstadJi replies Balli can rest as he isn't called.
At Batra Sir's office, Sanju, Faizi, UstadJi, Koel and Sid are shown. Col Batra informs them about the Minister's visit to the academy and gives the responsibility of his security to Sanju and Faizi. He asks Koel, Sid and UstadJi to assist Sanju and Faizi in their task. Sid questions Col Batra about Karan's not being involved in that. Col Batra says he need Karan to be with him as there are some other important matters. Both Koel and Sid finds it strange and murmurs to each other what can be so important other than Minister's security.
Other side Dhawan Sir is explaining a man(I guess Param) how they got another chance to kill the minister.
Tilli expresses his disliking to his Charu Tai about Dhawan behaviour with her. Charu tells him to ignore that as Dhawan is saying only what her boss tells him to do and shares that she too feels that she is losing her boss trusts because of the wrong pendrive and blasting Karan at the wrong time. Tilli asks her about any information from Balli. Charu calls Balli to ask him about the pendrive. Balli replies back that he'll call back when he get that and cuts the call. Till says to Charu that he will try to find what Dhawan is upto.
Balli gets irritated that everyone is behind him, one side Charu and other side the academy people, no body trusts him and while murmuring all this to himself he finds Koel, Bala and SumanJi playing carom. He watches them from far. Bala sees Balli and asks for help in covering the queen. Balli agrees but Faizi comes there and says Karan has too many works. Balli says yes he has and goes after passing comment that now they will definitely lose. Koel, Bala and Suman ji observes some tension in between Karan/Balli and Faizi.
Balli bumps with UstadJi while walking on the corridor, complaining about others. Balli shouts at him that can't he see and asks him to apologise, but UstadJi too replies back to Balli with attitude. Balli leaves fuming.
Balli enters Karan's secret room and shuts the door. He sits in the floor to have some peace as he thinks dead people don't hate anyone. He finds Karan and Param pic and sees it. Then he looks and Karan's single pic and compares himself with him trying to find out what's so special in Karan. He put Karan's photo back. Accidentally some other photo frame of Karan falls down and breaks. Balli sees it and recalls last moments of him with Karan. He recalls Monami's words full of hate towards him and thinks Monami will never forgive him, and is capable of shooting him. He talks to Karan's pic that he did team up with wrong people for money but he didn't want to kill him, he also tried to save him, he didn't have any enmity with him.
Otherside Monami tells Col Batra that she doesn't want to take Balli to Karan's house, she'll make some excuse but Col Batra explains her why it's necessary to keep Balli alive and make him visit Karan's house. He tells her about Mission Samarpan on which both Param and Karan were working together and both listing and killing terrorists of some place, also that Karan has expressed him to start that again some days before his demise. Col Batra says Monami to go to Karan's house with Balli and search for some data there which only Karan and Param knows and assures that Balli will not able to harm Barkha and Baby.
Monami enters the secret room, recalls Karan looking at the ring and expresses her dilemma of taking Balli to his house. He puts that ring in her chain. Balli who was hiding there, looking all these from far. Monami finds Karan's broken photoframe and wonders who came inside that room, just then he saw Balli and gets angry on him for breaking Karan's photo. Balli too replies her in anger that yes he broke it, it was his dream to become Karan Shergill and break his photo. He leaves from there in anger and comes into his room. Monami too follows him.
Monami enters Balli's room and shuts the door. She starts blaming Balli for Karan's death and gives lecture why he is there. Balli too replies back that what has to happen, that has happened, Karan is dead, he is alive, and if they wants him to do their work atleast they have to behave with him properly. He tells her to show her hands but she threatens him. He clearly says to her that if she wants to keep pets than she can, but don't keep misunderstanding about him, he don't have any interest in touching her. Balli tells her either to do her work or bang her head on wall, just then Sid enters the room and asks the matter to them.

Ohh yess, I too noticed those things, but don't want to give myself high hopes, so khud hi ke points ko counter karne lag gai 😂
