caught up with the last two episodes. noting noteworthy happens other than nuggets of haseena's memory coming in more bits and pieces (tajurba dialogues and the fight scene). we are basically back to how things were between post haseena returning to Lucknow pre anubhav's revelation -filler cases. it's another drag fest with everyone confused about her identity but doing nothing to find out the actual truth. you would think that cheetah was gonna bring someone from the past to trigger her memories but nope (or was his idea to bring the pushcart, I can't remember. if it was then this point can be ignored.).

the goodbye scene: a missed opportunity

the scene where she was bidding everyone was nice and I appreciated the advice/words she told them. but, and I hate to say this, it was unnecessary because in the end she didn't leave, nor did it have an effect on the characters. if you wanna insert stuff like that, at least show a scene where MPT are yet again broken and upset by someone leaving. Use it to fix the obvious disconnect between them (this could really just be a me thing and there really isn't anything of the sort). filler episodes can still have character moments that make you inclined to root for them. I am not even considering the logic behind this.

a mother's heart:

Noor Jahan's explanation of being away is fickle at best cause it makes no sense to me. haseena does not remember who she is, all the more needed is her mother who raised her- familiarity. but sure, she had to be kept away. I am confused about what she does and does not know about urmilla's shenanigans.

principals vs feelings

this whole debate about haseena pushing Noor Jahan is pretty intriguing. before i get tomatoes and chappal flying at me, I'd like to point out that i am not in favour of what she did. that was in no way or form acceptable - even slapping BP for that matter (reasons stated in previous posts).

haseena wasn't always this calm and collected person as we learned in episode 321. which means she developed and learned this to be patient over time and probably for reasons we are yet to know. going by what we are being presented, I am going to assume she does not remember these reasons. thus, in her frustrated state, she did not pause to calm herself down and think about a viable course of action. instead, she acted on her feelings- pushing away the thing (literally) that was causing her distress. to her, Noor Jahan is no one that should matter and was merely an irritating person who was pestering her to remember a life she doesn't know the value of. she got pissed and reacted the way urmilla -some who couldn't care less about anyone - would have.

it can also be argued that an amnesic patient will not lose the principles they lived by. in this case, respecting an older person and taking care not to cause them to harm physically or mentally. this should be an intrinsic thing for one. on this same note, principles and morals are shaped from experiences- experiences that haseena cannot remember right now. if that very ingredient needed to mould a person and their beliefs is absent, how can they abide by them?

should she have pushed Noor jahan? no. could she have handled the situation better? yes. is it understandable, however? yes.

one thing i want to draw attention to is billu and his words/expressions in the past two episodes.

first, is the line where he says, "haseena madam ko yaar Karna aur Hamme bhi." someone pointed out how symbolic it was. the 'yaad' he is referring to is 'miss' as in miss us because we will too. but, storytelling wise it was an instruction, an act that this central character needs to do - remember who she was and who they are. I liked this particular play on words here

next is his expression yesterday when she delivered the tajurba dialogue. it wasn't of shock. it looked more like an appreciative nod to me. it got me thinking if he know something?

again could be overthinking and analysing

Episode 461

March 29, 2022

Pushpaji's nephew's case continues, now with urmila getting involved and ruining HM's reputation even more. Some progress in her memory return, but still as slow as a turtle.

Urmila tries to blackmail pushpaji with the video of her supporting Gajju doing extortion. Pushpa refuses to give money, so urmila sends a funny video to MPT as a warning. MPT fake scare pushpa (that was the BTS), but it makes pushpa take the threat seriously, and she agrees to pay urmila.

Urmila meets Gajju for 50/50 partnership and tells him to use haseena malik's name for extortion. (It was really sad to see urmila drop to this level, and drag HM's respect down with her). Though later she meets a girl who idolizes HM, and urmila feels guilty for ruining the reputation of someone who is so highly respected by everyone. The girl salutes her which gives flashbacks of all the times she was saluted after solving cases. Urmila faints mid-road and is taken to the hospital.

The doctor tells karishma to take care and keep her under observation for a day, but urmila wants to leave asap to stop gajju from the extortion.

Pushpaji is mad at herself over gajju's actions, because she has been never betrayed her uniform and duty in all her years of service. Cheeta and santosh come there, and get her to reveal what's bothering her. She breaks down, and santu promises to get the video deleted. (Wonder why the first priority is not to stop gajju?).

Urmila calls gajju from the hospital and tells him to stop the extortion but he doesn't believe its really HM. She's about to video call him when santu, cheetah and billu come visit her. They try to steal her phone to get the video deleted, but the phone breaks in the chaos.

At home pushpaji is on call with santu who says she fulfilled her promise of deleting the video. Pushpa fears how karishma would react, but when karishma comes to the kitchen she ends up showing the video anyways.

In the market karishma catches gajju red-handed, and both saas-bahu duo beat him with the belt. Urmila was hiding nearby but karishma got to gajju before she did. Gajju sees urmila running away, and blames her for the extortion. Media comes there, gajju says he has proof. Apparently he had recorded urmila making the 50/50 deal, and media spread this news of HM being corrupt.

Special mention: nothing really funny. Pushpaji's breakdown was emotional, and it was sweet to see santu taking on her troubles.

Precap: urmila giving lie detector test in front of DSP

@Red: Glad to you brought this up. When I watched that scene, I had two minds. One that I mentioned in this forum and other I did not because I wasn't sure what I was thinking is right. A part of me thought that it my love for these characters that always seeks for a justification.

No denying that I was completely upset on that particular scene. Haseena Mallik has always been respectful towards her Ammi. And seeing same daughter push her Ammi so harshly did upset me. HM we know was an obedient kid who never went against her Ammi, even when she did not agree with her at times. She did so many things only to make her happy.

But there was also a part of me that tried to analyze things from Urmi's perspective, forgetting that she is HM. Urmi was completely confused and frustrated with things going around her. She is fighting to understand who actually she is. Suddenly an old woman comes infront of her trying to claim her as her daughter and get close to her. Initially she said , though rudely that she doesn't know her. But when she was being continously pestered by Ammi, she pushed her. Of course, that doesn't justify her actions. But if we forget for once that she is HM and lady infront of her was her mother, even though Urmi was wrong, she did not do something that could not be forgiven.

It could be. Although, it's going to be a disaster if her memory doesn't return.

@Bold: With last few episodes I realized that Urmi might not be a great individual or a woman of principles, but she definitely is not evil. In last episode she gave vada pav to a man in free because he was hungry. She tried to make Karishma the truth of victim's husband in last case. Today too she was guilty of her actions. She might not be another Haseena or Karishma whom people adore but she has her share of goodness that she doesn't show

The best part of today's episode was Pushpa Ji who has always comforted and consoled everyone, breaking down infront of Cheetah and Santu, in arms of Santu.

Till date Pushpa Ji has been there for everyone - Haseena, Karishma, Santu and Cheetah. She hugged and comforted them whenever they needed, just like any mother would do. Many times she understood them even when these people didn't share their pain with her. So it was good to see Cheetah and Santu bring able to see through Pushpa Ji's lies and understand that she is in some trouble without her telling that. I loved when Santu promised to take the responsibilities of sorting out the issue.

This team is a true family.

today's episode was another filler episode that was a little all over the place but I could get past that cause we had some nice character moments.

before i dwell on things further, I would like to say that this episode belonged to head constable Pushpa singh and Pushpa Singh.

urmilla blackmailing Pushpa Ji didn't sit well with me. i understand that she doesn't remember who Pushpa Ji is or that she was the same person who loved her like a daughter. but she does remember spending time with her in the last three months. the way she so loving pulled her cheeks in the farewell scene juxtaposed to the way she blackmailed Pushpa Ji left a bad taste in my mouth. then again, as Komal pointed out, urmilla isn't a woman of principle but does have goodness in her. which brings me to my next point, the guilt she felt after meeting the girl who idolized haseena malik. that helped me get over my irritation of her behaviour with Pushpa Ji if only a little. urmilla may not be the best person out there but she can empathise with people. using the name of someone else, tarnishing their hard-earned reputation and disappointing people who look up to her didn't agree with her conscience. I appreciated that aspect and I appreciate how she tried to fix this mistake by calling up Gajendra. i was happier with the fact that they gave this seemingly new character flaws and tried to make her fix her mistake. also, I am hoping that she apologises to Pushpa ji later on. if not for the sake of their mother-daughter relationship then for the sake of the last three months.

I am going to be honest. I was sceptical when my masumiyat promised Pushpa Ji that she was going to delete the video. the reason I say this is because i got major deja vu from when she promised Sapna in episode 383. i know the case was solved and indirectly the promise was fulfilled but the fact that it wasn't her who actually did it disappointed me. so when she said this to Pushpa Ji today I was a little doubtful. but I am so glad to not have been let down today. I am proud of my masumiyat and the character development we got when these two cases are compared. albeit in a confusing manner she still managed to delete the video.

coming to the star of today's episode- Sonali Ji.

the breakdown she had in front of cheetah and santu was so natural. from laughing and giggling to engulfing santu in a hug where she let her tears fall. the nuances she had as they watched the video uncertain gazes at the two, bowing her head in shame, rasing it to accept that she messed up and learned from thr mistake she made. this is the same woman who has served in the force longer than i have been alive and not once in those years has she betrayed her uniform. yes, she makes mistakes and it gets on my nerves. but she is honest and genuine when he comes to the country. she serves with her heart. the head constable in her was saddened beyond words to see her hard work and name be dragged through the mud, especially for something she didn't do. on top of that, it was none other than the man she treated as a son. she bragged about him so much in front of everyone only to be given a slap in the face by that very same person. the pain of humiliation was clearly visible in her teary voice and heavy voice as she beat the guy, unleashing the hurt she felt in the form of violence. Also worth talking about is that even though she feared the consequences of karishma finding out, she told her the truth on her own. Accepting your mistake and leanring from it is the best anyone cna learn. Pushpa ji proved that today.

highlights in today's episode for me was hands down the bonds we saw- cheetoshpa, pushtosh (that hug, haye main sadke jawan), karishpa. these were the bonds and scenes I very been missing so very much. we see them standing up for one another, supporting each other, providing a shoulder to cry and working together to fix the problem. i couldn't help but see them as children trying to help their mother in distress through any means they can.

anee posed a valid question, why isn't the first concern dealing with gajju.

well because santu isn't Karishma. Pushpa ji's main concern when she was talking cheetah and santu was the video not reaching Karishma. so her first thought is to delete it and make sure Karishma doesn't find out. int his case she was complying with Pushpa Ji's request and dealing with the factor she could control.

compared that to Karishma, her first instinct was to deal with the main problem of this situation- gajender. that bhukal, damn I missed it. anyways, she as we know goes berserk when people she loves are hurt so that's why gajender was the target of her anger.

in fact, I liked the contrasting scenes we got here. it brought out their concern as well as their methodology to deal with things. it was pretty in character too.
