Knowing Dhoni he never takes wrong decisions, if Jaddu has gotten Captaincy then I know he won't disappoint.

The problem is that Suresh Raina has always been considered as 'Chinna thala' (little captain), so Jaddu or other players was never in the picture to become the next captain. But Dhoni has been around longer than expected (I guess) and Suresh Raina's career has not been taking off as expected in the past 6 years or so. And there have been a quarrel between CSK and Raina, when he left 2020 tournament in the last minute. So the obvious choice felt on Jaddu. But Jaddu is not left alone. Jaddu has been around for a long time with captains like Dhoni, Faf, Bravo and Watson in the team, so he must have some ideas how to operate the position. As long as he focus on himself when he bats and then in the fielding he can discuss with the other players. He will be groomed by Flemming & co. Only time will tell how much he will enjoy the role or not. (Honestly I feel he should be let free as a player, cause at the moment he is really in the best transition as a player.)
