Hey I ve a doubt , heard india buying oil from Russia very cheap becos of war but cooking gas , oil , energy prices increased showing the Ukraine-Russia war , how is it possible ? Do u ve any idea ?

It’s not unrelated though. Just before the onset of the war my husband bought his ticket for India @$845 from NYC to Delhi, and 2 days after when we also wanted to join in, our ticket costed us close to $2000 a piece now the same ticket is selling @7000. 😲But on an average it’s $3000 if we are willing to go for longer layovers.

@Red: I tried to look up for September after the schools would start, but no luck. :(

I used to layover at Bahrain sometimes but the savings are not worth the mental damage.😆hands down the shittiest airport i’ve ever been to.

I have a little one in the tow, so opting for the longer layovers that too in the Godforsaken airports is not an option.

@Bold: I guess it’s the costs involved in using the longer routes to avoid the Russian airspace. Most of the United airlines flights have been cancelled or diverted until the end of April.

By “we”, I meant IF and also an average human being.

And I am not quite optimistic about US’s ways to help Ukraine.

Accepting refugees is good but then there are still people getting killed and families being destroyed.
