See, we all might prefer OTT in these fast times But a show which has got multiple Episodes has got another level of charm😳

The way they can explore their characters let alone the Protagonists is - well, I'll call it Meticulous - One can't go in so much detail in a Finite Series

The way one cam delve deep into another person's Psyche helps understand another person really well

You can choose to watch the Best scenes & ignore the other useless ones though I highly find anything useless with the Amazing acting from each character.

I'm not sure if you got my point entirely.

Let's take for example - Priya's character. It's pretty new for ITV. It's the woman here who is serious & not a ball of sunshine who dances around the Male Protagonist.

It's so different yet we sit down almost each day to discuss Episodes in depth to understand her.

Most ppl however are like the ones you find on 🐦 - they can't understand a totally different character unless the show is telecasted for so long that it becomes a part of their atleast weekly conversation & that's when ppl start to take notice & take time to understand this other very different person.

OTT's with almost everything being released on a single day chucks out the point of having long drawn out discussions outta the window😕

Something the makers realized was happening with The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel & came back with weekly Episodes this Season👏

I got what you said. I watch OTT and I do sit and think about characters, they stay with me for some time, some of them may be a lifetime. Earlier I used to watch series or movies for entertainment, now I like to understand the plot, the characters, the reason ... maybe I have lots of time in my hands :) I found many people with similar thought process here

Absolutely and that's why tv still has more income than other platforms.

There is a reason these shows are still running bcz they become the part of our life which ott shows can never become. We binge watch ott fangirl over it for few days, weeks then it's out of mind until next season comes along.

And that way people look over a lot of tiny details that we analyse in every episode bcz we want to move to next episode without letting the first episode sink in with all its meanings, nuances or subtleties.

If a characters like Ram and priya were introduced to ott only very selective people would have watched the show and appreciated it.

Most democratic still doesn't watch ott, and the point is to introduce these characters and plant the idea of new modern relationships that can have role reversals too.

And that can happen slowly only and for that tv is perfect.

ITV should start showing modern relationships ... even in BALH2 we had regressive tracks and delusional characters ... It still needs lots of rework ...

I don't like Saas bahu, infidelity, rising from death waala series ... There are no shows like Sarabhai, Waghle etc nowadays

I did watch a couple of OTT series recently, most of them were trash

Modern relationships = Infidelity

Surprise twist = Character is homo
