I watched the first episode of Holi(21st Mar). And then I thought many times whether I should put it down here or not but finally decided to get it out of my system. So sorry in advance if I spoil anyone's mood.

It was no doubt a good episode compared to the exaggerated drama we have been served in recent ones. Also we got to see the type of Meet² romance which was missing. They had comedy as well. So all in all it was an enjoyable episode.

But if I have to critically review it, it did not hit the mark for me. I felt the initial part comedy was ott. Romance was just surface level. The editing and the micro mini scenes put together with no continuity at all put me off totally. The only scene that touched me at a deeper level was the scene in the morning when Meety got herself coloured by Meetwa's hand and the cheek to cheek colouring there. There I can ignore Meetwa"s unconscious state.

This is one episode which I felt was majorly rushed. Never ever felt so much before.

Wont elaborate more but as an episode that I will want to revisit again and again, this one doesnt fit the bill for me. I was very eager for this holi episode. Now for the next episode, hope is left but the eagerness has gone down.

although I found episode extremely childish ..the basic essence of Meet Ahlawat is getting diluted day by day… as a character his arc is not going up … and so is Meet Hooda.. earlier I used to enjoy her antics .. but nowadays she is so high on melodrama and theatrics that I am not able to connect with either of them… they are really good actors.. The emotional scene after that GupChup dance was so well executed… but this episode didn’t resonate with me .. be it extremely childish comedy.. or very tiny bit of romance … isse acha romance to wo “tere jeya hor disda” sequence me ta …

I cant forget the getting ready for christmas party scene too... right from Meetwa's entry to the zipping up to putting the necklace around her neck...

The attempted kiss and hug was great too but before and after the hug had a lot of editing issues so thats lower on my list.

No... I expected more for holi. Its my mistake I guess that I expected because of the hype that got created just bfr it 😑

I know why you guys don't like it.. There is no continuity and the scenes lack depth.. They both have been doing comedy around joining police force twice now, once in room, once in garden.. These scenes are superb as standalone but irritating as a story.. You don't always joke around serious issues like your career path!! They haven't had a single talk regarding how their life would change, how they would manage everything, exactly what she wants to become and we have been assuming things on their behalf!

After stapler scene I thought clownery aur sweet romance ho gaya, ab they would talk regarding Meety's exact plans.. But wo scene wahin end!

After the diet scene I was again hoping ab clownery ke baad they will really discuss why Meety isn't able to fill a form subah se or pichle din se whatever it is and finally address some of the serious implications.. But then another clownery scene with the nanhe insaans!

I am not faulting any of the scenes they are top-class and didn't have any acting, direction or editing issues but they still don't satisfy you coz they don't further the charcters! 😭

Meetwa's character has become so monotonous that they is nothing interesting now! Yes he is the loveliest ML right now but he is left with nothing except supporting, romancing or clowning around the FL! And he is so henpecked that at times wo Meety ko thik rasta dikhata he nahi coz he is like jo tum decide karogi wo theek hai!

Okay I agree you are supposed to show him as the Husband of the Year but the guy never goes to office, never has any issues in his life like the 1st and last issue he ever faced was Manushi which Meety solved for him! 🤪

Kya chala jaayega if he goes to office and has his own work troubles like normal working ppl.. Why can't he just be so preoccupied with professional issues that he can't be 24/7 around Meety and maybe takes out some of the work frustration on Meety or doesn't listen to her properly sometimes.. That's how normal ppl behave!
