Akshara is the worst female lead - Page 2

I don’t consider her this bad like u r mentioning,bt she does irritates me when she literally babysits arohi..☹️Aru is a grown up woman n she should be scolded when she acts all childish n throw tantrums, but other Thn tht I don’t find anything wrong with her character..I love her giving nature thts the usp of her character..she isn’t selfish like arohi who just think abt herself..

- i also don't like the fact that akshara is not career oriented. There's nothing unique about a gharelu girl doing family family all the time and not doing anything related to her career.

1. She is not gharelu girl. She is a music therapist.

2. Her life, her choice. Although if you ask me, the career of a housewife is the toughest one of all.

3. Which person in this show is doing anything in their career? Arohi - I don't see her doing any kind of internship. Abhi - Other than wearing scrubs I don't see him checking on any patients either. Same goes with Harsh or Mahima or Anand or Neil or Shefali or Parth or Kairav or Vansh. Just because some have the title of Dr in front of them and Akshara does not have it, doesn't mean she is not doing anything serious and they are. Makers have decided to show only family drama and skip their work lives. That's all it is.

- Hasn't appreciated abhi for his gestures and literally takes him for granted

In any relationship, it's never 50-50 love between the couples. One definitely is more invested than the other, emotionally speaking. Doesn't mean the other one is taking this one for granted. It's more to do with how their priorities are in their lives.

- the fact that she left manjari to die without checking and even after abhi is trying to find out didn't care to check that very spot

This - yes. And it's not whether it is Manjari or some stranger or a stray. It's her duty and basic responsibility as a human to check. If you have a doubt, check. Because it's a life out there. If not immediately then as soon as possible. So currently, I do consider Akshara an accomplice. Later on it might come out that it's not their vehicle or they were not in the car at that time or whatever BS the makers want us to show for the TRPs but that still doesn't negate the current behaviour.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't mean to disrespect a housewife. I know akshara of season 1 was also a housewife but a likeable character. As you said, housewife do so much.. akshara of season 1 was also like that - mature, doing everything for family.. by gharelu girl I meant, in today's time a girl just sitting in house doing family family doesn't sit well with me. They should bring out more sides of akshara . If they want to show her as a homemaker, then it should be shown properly. She has been shown to be a music therapist. They should show some more seriousness from her side, her commitment towards singing, her playing different instruments, you know scenes specifically dedicated to her singing and love for singing because we need to admit that we are watching a serial in today's time, we would want the female lead to be doing something. Naira was also a homemaker most of the time in season 2 but she actually took all family matters in hand when there was trouble and not just babysitted a particular character like akshara is babysitting aarohi..

Let's blame it on flaw in writing then! 😆

Yesterday my 12 yr old daughter asked me why you are not liking Ar. I told her two lines that she always brings troubles for Ak and ak has to save her. Her reply to me was amazing. Amma, if it's my sister won't i save her against what she is and her character is. And she is equal to my brother in love. So i told she is step sister. Then my daughter replied whatever she is but a family. I was like at this age ...though I had similar thoughts through out. When it's truth vs wrong we should support truth always against family or anyone. Orelse the roots are never strong and we make them criminals slowly. What Ak did wrong is not checking the place against trust on Ar her blind trust. Cvs won't hook Ar or ak in jail.but suspense goes on our head till it bursts. If ak supports Ar after knowing she hit manjari then its again a blunder. As far as now she is not aware of Manjaris hot there. Though she fell down it may not be the same car. And if we have a venomous person in family this is the horrible life we face forever. We can't throw them or change them. It's upto them how long they take in changing themselves. Ar the poison in Ak phooti kismat. So she has to bear everything. Regarding career what you told, i myself an example. I was working but for kids I had to leave my job taking care of family. That depends on personal satisfaction we get either going to job or fufilling the family needs. And all characters are humans like us. they have not come from special world to be perfect all the time.

@bold : you've written it so well. Even if akshara and Aarohi are not responsible for the accident of manjari, it was a possibility they would have killed someone..aarohi was almost going to kill the child.. and she is already a criminal in my eyes and akshara is ultra dumb for saving her...just because someone else went there and hit manjari at the same spot doesn't make their crime any less..

Of course it's a major flaw in writing. Why even question that. On one side we see a cardiologist (please note, he is a cardiologist not a cardiothoracic surgeon) operating on any and every part of the body without a drop of blood getting onto his gloves and on another side we see Arohi who is an intern not stepping into the hospital except to swallow some pills. Internship for meds is like a nonstop grinder. We don't get to sit, let alone have time to think about anything else. No one in this show is shown as "committed" to their work. There are no sides that are explored. So we have to assume she is playing different instruments, singing etc etc along with her family jaap just like we have to assume Abhimanyu Birla is actually spending time in the hospital checking patients and not just walking around with an ice pack on his neck. 😆

Yes you're right. Aarohi is going to stick till the end creating troubles for abhira.. and abhira will fight because of her.. ichche nodee story was also that . Rest all will be grey characters but aarohi is going to be the maha kaand maker in this season and all major plots will involve her.

I didn't mean to disrespect a housewife. Nor do i differentiate between career oriented women and home makers. I know a lot of women leave their career for home and choosing motherhood and family is their choice. My issue is that akshara is neither shown as a homemaker not as a career oriented women. She is shown to be a baby sitter of her half sister which is quite unrealistic in today's time.. a girl having a job just to take care of her other sister and chanting family family doesn't sit well with me.. they should show her smart like naira , even she was homemaker...they could have easily shown akshara helping goenkas in jewellery business.. or she could have been shown as akshara of season 1...but akshara of season 3 has been shown as a nautanki only to make overdramatic statements that she loves her family yet doing opposite things and creating issues for family, hiding her sister's evils from family which will create more problems for family in future.. even akshara of season 1 was way more stronger than her...akshara should have come home and slapped aarohi once for what she did, it was no small mistake, aarohi literally put her and akshara's life at risk, the small kid was about to die.. all she did is gave a casual pep talk??

I don't mind imperfect characters . I know Akshara's weakness is her family but when it gets overboard it doesn't sit well with me.. abhimanyu too is imperfect but he is true to his character with no nonsense attitude, hence he is likeable by major chunk and most talked about character even with his negative shades..

Also, i would love to seee Akshara's committment towards her singing and full fledged scenes dedicated to that..

What all others are doing in show tell me instead of showing Ak. She is well shown in her job many times. Ar stands in white coat eying Abhi, mahima too has not give anything except Abhi who does all the work. Goenkas are never shown any proper work instead of dialogues. So instead of bashing characters analyse why they behave that way according to situations and satate them right or wrong. It's your pov we respect and replied our pov. Nothing much in it ,as forum is for that.

Stop comparing season 1 Akshara and season 3. It's only name is same not characters. Character growth doesn't happen in 1 episode. It's itv show not movie and even indian movies are illogical how do you expect it from tv show. Even in india news channels are illogical🤣.
