In a sense, the online viewers are a small fraction of the number of people who watch the show on tv. This is surely to reach them. I get triggered by these dialogues about women, but many women do hear it for real, in everyday life.

I know we easily just keep repeating that she should leave them, rip the bandaid off (guilty as charged) because we are all pro women empowerment and have access to resources which many many women in India (mainly but I’m sure there are such cases outside too) who don’t. They either give up or don’t even attempt to try. Society pressure and darr is real and this serial is just one very very small way of trying to break stereotypes. Sadly, there is still a very very long way to go!
