In today's Women's world cup match in New Zealand, West Indies made a measly 140 runs for 9 wickets.

Bangladesh were favorites until a minute ago. But they lost their first wicket in the first over making things easier for WI.

India Women will take on Australia Women in Match 18 of the Women’s World Cup. This W ODI match will be played at Eden Park, Auckland. The match will start at 6.30 IST local time.

India are in third place in the 2022 Women’s World Cup table after picking up two wins and two defeats from their opening four games. They have not strung together two victories or fallen to two successive losses in the tournament and have the same number of points as West Indies in fifth place. India were beaten by England on Wednesday, losing by 4 wickets in Mount Maunganui. Smriti Mandhana top scored with 35 from a disappointing total of 134. With the ball, Megna Singh impressed with 3-26 but they could not defend their score.

Australia have been the most impressive side in the tournament so far and, alongside South Africa, have a perfect record of four wins from four games. With a net-run-rate of 1.744, they sit top of the table with a four point gap to India, New Zealand and West Indies in third, fourth and fifth. Australia’s last win came against West Indies on Tuesday, the victory margin of 7 wickets. All-rounder Ellyse Perry took 3-22 before opener Rachael Haynes top scored with 83 not-out from 95 balls.

The match will be played at Eden Park, Auckland. This is the first game to be played at the venue in this tournament. We expect spinners to be dangerous on this surface, with cloud cover helping the swing bowlers.
