Hari, Lovely review and thanks for the tagπ
I enjoyed the episode but there were moments that concerned me as well. Then there was foreshadowing which is good but won't go into it too much now as it is regarding Nerohi.
I liked how Abhi seemed to be a goner when he saw Akshu even though he just saw her upstairsπ. But that dreamy and stunned gaze was so beautiful, he just goes to a different plane of existence when he see's herβ€οΈ. I found their monologue so lovely yet heart breaking - finally they are having their dreams fulfilled. I felt it more for Abhi, we saw his heart break from the first tilak. This was wonderful from the CVs to acknowledge this.π
I'm glad we had that moment with Manish and Arohi, finally someone understand what she was going through and it felt a really human moment. Whatever her shortcomings, it had to have hurt a bit...pricked her pride...and then she was soothed by Manish. Lovely, lovely little scene but goes a long way towards her transformational arc.πππΌ
Now the points that concerned me - Akshu coming back with Papa Birla. Her entry was dramatic and it did not sit very well with me...I know makers want to alarm us and some moments are made more dramatic than need beπ.... Oh I understand why she went and I even said she will go get Harsh few weeks back in a conversation with Meher and the others but still not happy CVs took that route. It is because this point will become a big issue at some stage with Abhira.
See, when you are in a relationship romantically, you need to respect your partner's decision whether you understand or not. Akshu breached that big time. Not by getting Papa Birla, but by interfering in Abhi's matter when he had repeatedly told her not to. Again I totally understand Akshu and why, but that moment will be a craw sticking in his gut and one day it will spill out of his mouth in anger.....some of it's due to the incomplete story telling, which frustrates me to no end because I can see where it is leading, but when writers do not stick to real life rules it is a red alarm. So in real life, if a partner did this believe me there will be a massive showdown for the couple somewhere down the line. Also it is a big relationship red flag when a partner disregards what you have said and does as they please because they want to.
I know this is not on her, but I would have loved it if Akshu had insisted people from her wider family also attend. For someone so into family, she never mentions her Mamu and cousin Krishnaπ or her bua's....lol, when will we get to see them all?...something makes me feel maybe this is not the big fat wedding we are waiting for....π³β (unless budget is playing a big role here).
The other point of concern for me was the gun game. I understand each culture is different but it made me very uncomfortable to see Abhi pointing a gun to Akshu and vice versa. Again it brought to mind that one day these two will be on opposites sides and pointing painful things at each other. I really hope not but I personally wished they played some other games then this.
I really liked Harsh's scenes. It was so wonderful. We saw his pain, anger, sadness and letting it all slip out when Akshu came. He is a joy to watch and I really applaud the person who writes his part, they get everything rightπ. It was sad and hilarious to see him checking his phone....lol, everyone too busy to upload pictures for him. Naariyal pani moment was hilarious but glad that Akshu was symbolised as his bounty. She was so sweet calling him papa, definitely melted his heart. Then his entry into the Birla's, so hero like moment. It also symbolises that he will play a bit part in Abhira relationship.
π€£ Loved Manish and AK gossiping about Harsh like two old ladies and so true to a wedding moment from real life. π€£
I found Arohi, sad, slightly badπ and maybe a bit dangerous for the future...for Abhira and Neilπ...
I am so looking forward to the rest of the tilak scenes though.π
