This seems to be different from what we saw in the precap. Perhaps, the ruined date is after Rakhi senses something is wrong and sends Kinjal to go with Anu.

ANU in Shah house upon return from K Dr. visit. ANUJ on his way to pick up ANU for their outing. ANUJ see V in shady way on a untrustworthy person and wants to protect ANU from not being trapped. ANUJ want to be especially heedful for his ANU feelings if she is having a bad day, as she said to him she is scared. Since ANUJ is heedful, he is being mindful. So he is observing V without jumping to conclusions.
