Rani in Black Vs Alia Bhatt in Gangu

Who acted better and which role do you think was more challenging? For me Rani in Black is one of the best roles in Bollywood History

Alia was phenomenal as Gangu.

Having said that, Rani's role in Black was really, really tough and challenging. So I'm picking Rani on the basis of how she aced that challenging role.

Not fair to compare these two since Rani was already known as a good actress before Black. With Black, it's the first time a leading popular actress played such a deglamorized role who's also handicap on the big screen. It was not an art film, it was a commercial film which makes it even more unique and a big risk for Rani to take. Plus, there was no hero in the film. If Black had flopped, Rani would have been ridiculed!

Gangu is different for Alia, not the same. No one has hammed in an SLB film before so it was a given that Aloo would perform her best. If GK had not performed as good as it is, everyone would have been like: I told u so! But nothing would have changed Alia's careerpath.

Oh god, that scene where she first dances and sings and then fights with SRK's mom in the film still gives me nightmares! Such a ham!

I havent seen either film

But im more inclined to watch Gangu than Black

I think everyone is very confused regarding my stance on Alia. I don't have an actual issue with her face, personality or acting abilities. I have an issue with her family, Karan Johar and the nepotism arm-twisting that goes on behind the scenes.

I share similar sentiments for: Sara, Janhvi, Ananya, Shanaya, Suhana, Khushi, Aryan, Nysa, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Bobby Deol's son,- all of them
