Finished watching SG.. i don't know what IF review was talking about caz I toh liked it throughly. infact on the contrary i did not find it that dramatic it was very nicely balanced i felt and a Look into the lives of Swarn and Bedi saab.. their romance adn relationship was shown oh so nicely.. hahha isme bhi inak song is jo vaada kia woh nibhana padega and iw as like reminded of your mix 😆

their naukrani is such a sweetheart too and i liked her bond with the both of them how they treat her like family. surprisingly the kitty party ladies were actually nice women too not just sitting ot gossip shock shockl.. and behaved liek normal friends peers at Nakuul ka birthday..

the sons are meh alrightish.. nobody cares but i did like ke Bedi saab know them exactly what they are and what they willl do but the mom is extra protective and a bit in delusion in regards to her kids despite their rudeness and doesn't want to accept their coldness .. looks like yeh nakul ka sasural is the padosi.. that loser was so rude to his mom but was such lovey dovey to sasumaa who also video called mehh bhaad main jaayein

these are the sidey things on supporting cast and setupnow coming to the main thing.. seems like there is some financial trouble looming over them and ek hi FD hai jo bete ko chahoye for some casting couch and Bedi saab needs too for some insuarance jhamela and he has to hide the file.. absolutly adored the scene in gurdwara such a serene but honest talk about the kids and finance . mr bedi ka staright up nope and her nahi meri hai and his nope but even you need it for emjergencies and other things and saying the harsh reality of their kids but she got offended and ended with i have 3 golden Fd's my sons and eventually Mr bedi giving in..

hahha mr bedi doesn't like her in pheeke rang toh he goty her dresed in the red sari and all and sent her to her kitty party woh balcony scene did had the bitter sweet last goodbye feel but liked the wya he found a way to cheer swarn by them both wishing each other happy birthday as inka bhi new janam hua as parents..

the naunces and layering is all there there are some moments that really tug at your heart even though one can predict what is to come probably. i perosnally got invested and felt like i know these characters..

sangeeta looked so pretty and did so well .. they have balanced woh so many emotional ups and downs in this very well for both kanwal and Swarn.. they had a low moment but they instantly cheered each other and Got on with their day

the sets and all look grand paisa lagaya hai and i am actually happy that for a change the punjabi came naturally and wasn't feeling jarring like they usually make it sounf with hindi mix when ronit spoke the punajbi lines he fully spoke them in punjabi then switched to hindi rather then broken hindi and punjabi so that worked.. the bachapan wale scenes were nicely doenm to give us the peak into how they raised the kids..

the only thing is lol if they are so well off itna bada ghar and all toh how did she got poor and all haha but anyway.. for nwo i personallyy liekd the Tehraav in the show and did not find it ott..

now we are left on cliff hanger with bete ka accident swarn ki hchki ad it emans somethign happened to son but actually probably something happened to Kanwal.. i am also curious did it happen naturally or he did soemthign since they did mention ke swarn will get insuarance money only if somethign happenes to him.. and a burnign pyre.. very good stuff i would give it 4/5

Nice first epi I'd say.....emotions were on point and main highlight definitely was Swaran-Kanwal ka relationship as well as Ronit-Sangeeta ki fab acting/chemistry together.

Story is going a little along the lines we already guessed.....Swaran is a very sheltered wife who has spent her whole life devoted to her kids and being protected by her husband. It's mainly going to be the story of her struggles as she faces the harsh real world beyond the protective cocoon her husband kept her in. Has shades of Anupama waali storyline if they can manage to pull together a decent script....cuz wahaan yehi I guess work kiya that initially badi dari/sehmi/naive se hoti thi and then she grew into bajaaoing Vanraj😆.

I'm still hoping they show Kanwal ka character in FBs or memories somehow cuz he is just such a wonderful light in Swaran's life....bahut zyada tragic ho jaayega to not even let that fully be showcased before ending it......and iske ilava jaise Anupama mein woh Bapuji hai, ismein bhi koi character toh dhang ka dena chahiye to Swaran to have nice convos with after she loses Kanwal. Bete toh saare shameless and selfish hi hain but I guess main drama woh bade bete Nakul se nikaalenge with selfish and materialistic bahu too.....lol aage pucca saas ko torture karne aayegi woh.....

Oh word about Ronit and Sangeeta ki punjabi....they've really made an effort to get that lehja right😆.....bada cutely bol rahe hain - especially Ronit ki Punjabi😆.....two Bengalis trying to speak Punjabi....haha

And LOL yeah I also laughed when I heard "Jo vaada kiya" in one of the scenes....mujhe bhi ab apna mix hi yaad aata hai on that😆

Ghar ke set mein investment kiya hai cuz I guess main drama will happen around that house only....toh achha hai proper investment kiya rather than kuch bhi random rental - looks like Sargun/Ravi are looking to set up a proper alternate ITV industry in Chandigarh😆....I thought koi bhi ghar rent karke wahaan lagaa lenge story....but they have invested in a whole set....pata nahin kahaan zameen dhundi hai around Chandigarh to set this up😆

Bedi saab is an adorableee husband....lol isliye usko itni jaldi maar denge bechara.....achhe log raas nahin aate zyada ITV pe....haha

Thanks for all the recs, Fary! I definitely am curious to see Jersey now cuz Nani seems like a very good actor based this SSR movie.....so might check that out soon if I don't get distracted again.....lol

I just felt ki yeh SSR movie was made with high production values and it really showed - from the script, the music, the acting, the direction.....sab ek scale pe mount kiya tha, not the usual dhoom dhadaam flying stunts of South masala movies.....lol.....the romance was very old school and sweet so yeah I liked it.....lol

Re: Unpaused....oh man I was so sure they will kill off the Daadu....saara time it felt like they are building up to that tragedy....but that is why I got so emotional when I saw him alive.....you feel that emotion along with the son/grandson - the relief at seeing him alive after all the endless tragedy and death that the story was seeped in otherwise. Fabulously done episode......word to all the things you pointed out.

Swarn ka confidante woh ex lover hi higammyou are right shades of anupama hain toh swarn seems very confident otherwise she doesn't want to take these things or zimmedaris caz bedi saab hain not caz she doesn't know which was the case with anupama..and also bedi saab is so loving.

Word about chemistry woh instant woah ok I need to wstxh it caz I want to see it it gave me feel wala vibe I got wohi ji I first time got from imlie not just out of habit for now..* touchwood* I really like woh subtleties and tehraav man and again wih various shades in how they were sambhalooinf each other knowing very well they hoth missed the sons in their own ways..bedi saab put on a it is all food am food face but then woh height chart dekh ke thide emotional hi gaye except that he is practical while swarn is super emotional one and inke saare emotions are mostly tied with swaaran ki khushi.

KKis was absolutely lovely too basically saara family dealing with the jhatka trying to figure out kya karna hai kaise and anu himself suggesting to cancel the shasdi..inlike how he was the sound board trying to figure out what can be done being sensitive too all woh ghar ka samse samjhdaar bacha hai dikha the way he handled GC.. and then later woh choti si baat but the way he kept chavvi ke sar pe haath when GC was being extra guilty and dramatic ke I will kill myself..etc baaki sab had such lively bits to contribute overall..I really liked the different shade of the K family and sabse noticeable again gungun itna tameez se putting her post across and yet counting them all as family she was so respectful ke meri shaadi tooti hai toh mukhe toh reason pata hona chahiye but because you said it I will go upstairs as you are my bua.. woh solid family vibe and saying ke GC is her fav chachu

Once again BP stole the show with his helplessness but also trying to figure out what to do that moment of absolutly loathness ke bahunke gehne lene padenge but I loved how badi maa samjhaooed him ke this is equivalent to FD and taking these will not make him Baghairat.. but the moment of the episode was definitely his dialogue about ghar and parivaar and prem main jab paisa aata hai toh how it pollutes prem what lovely dialogues and the way BP said them ek dum dil ko lage and impact was felt so hard.

Gungun accidently may have heard the whole story ya part of it but I do like her taking action on her own..doesn't seem like BP took the advice of sharing it with DR. Riddesh to get him to get a buyer for their house as he seems pretty frustrated ke why are they not telling is the reason for postponement but bina kisi ke kahe gun playing part of family and wanting to figure it out on her own. Oh I think they are using udariyaan kanlocation hi uske aas paas hi kahin hain caz apparently aja they did a cameo there too ke unke pind ke hain bedis😆 but yeah easy for them and qoh ji samdhan thi she plays udariyaan main koinrole I have seen her there wahan ki evil character hai😆 this one should work man good for Ravi Sargent colors need a 2.5 + wala show though unka luck has been terrible let's hope yeh chale..but definitely way way way better than udariyaan

They got the diction and lehja and words/ vocab right too again not ruining hindi words to make it sound like Punjabi so + points for that.honestly all in all the way they show Punjabi on TV and esp on colors this was pretty subdued and wohi I liked .. her shalwar suit wala look was so normal too shikar hai kuch bhinott nahi tha and her kitty wale friends too looked alright regular ladies at parties.. though ofcourse swarm ka red sari was a bit overdone for the occasion but it worked out with the reason and the whole vibe of bete ka birthday nd it is a big deal for her and Sangeeta looked so pretty.

Bas woh party wala part and fake America was what I was blah about

Agreed Naadan it was a lovely epi indeed.

The entire fam is willing to support Golu Chachu by arranging the compensation money so that he doesn't get targeted by police. The initial aisi laparavahi kaise kar sakte hai & all happened as it should. It is definitely not a small mistake to be dismissed casually. I like how Anu stepped up as the cool headed one who focused on what steps to take rather than spend time lamenting over the misfortune. Also Goli bua deserves a special mention for being the fiercest protector of her youngest brother who she otherwise spends time scolding everyday.

All the fam including the jamai offered their help in contributing their money. I am glad that they showed such a supportive in laws as well rather than fair weather ones. Anu suggested that the shaadi needs to be cancelled as they cannot afford the kharcha now & all money needs to be used for the fam crisis. The bahus also offered their jewelleries to be sold. Still the amount was not enough & BP decided that they should sell the house. Chandru suggested that they take help from Dr. Bhatnagar as he can get them loan quickly through his contacts. But BP refused because as he correctly said that the involvement of money would turn rishtedaari into a sauda. They are still not related as fam & accepting financial help from them would indeed turn this into an unequal rishtedaari.

Gun got happy after hearing the marriage got cancelled. Dr. Bhatnagar as usual without even knowing the reason assumed ki Gun ki galti hain & scolded her. Both of them came to K house to know the reason for the cancellation. The elders didn't want to discuss the reason in front of Gun so asked her to go sit with the young gang & even Gun obeyed them.

Looks like they still won't be told the truth by the fam & Gun is would try & find out on her own .

Jersey is the one that shows nani ka natural side more.. usually he uses them in rom coms but that was so different haha fun fact they flipped the names of father son in the movie as in arjun being the dad and nani being the son while arjun is his real son's name 😆

Oh and I totally forgot the 3 national award winners that year. Asuran super deluxe and jersey for best films and best actors i think too

Anyway I forgot that nani and Sai pallavi have done another film too hahah that is typical masala film but basically a devar's love for bhabhi and how far will he go to save her and protect her after she gets kidnapped due to his recklessness with a goon amd lol the villain in this was played by vijay verma of gullible boy fame he was pure evil in this 😆 and no am not recommending this film caz this is typical Masala and even i didn't liked it that much started for sai Pallavi but she was a cameo mostly for songs but haha her back-bend in this song

But other than jersey I have really really enjoyed this film too recently on nani such a quirky one .hahah him being gangleader of these daadi type ladies hahah the women of all ages being led by an author as he is trying to find a story to write haha this was such a fun one too even though I can't remmeebr now but I did have some problem with it in parts still overall i enjoyed it as far as i can rememebr

Each women has their own story and how they cone together to fight one mission that litrle deaf and mute girl awwww🤗

Yup yaar I personally did not like the idea of Dr. Riddesh se help lete hain even to find a buyer . They can tell him that they have landed in financial soup but again yeh baatein aise nahinki jaa sakti given the nazuuk nature of their rishta abhi.. aaj kal ke daur main logon ki genuine problems feel naataks that too at this mod beti de rahe hain Dr. Sahib .. anyone can misunderstand poor K's in various ways.. and am glad they didn't seemed all in agreement with that even though sabki neeyat saaf hai . And I am sure agar help maangte bhi toh bhi Dr. Sahib kar dete but baat wohi hai it then starts sounding like some fraud by K's and dahej types shaadi ho jaati toh nature changes again .. they hardly know kuch bhi..but then I do totally understand the nature of urgency and helplessness too given itna zyada paisa Hai..
