I don't think the channel cares much about storyline as long as the show is performing okay. PS has been the slot leader in 2 slots since months. Even at a time when trps of all shows are down, PS is holding on at 1.7 which is a 0.2 decrease from their usual.the 11 pm trp has increased to 1.3. So business wise it's profitable for them. And giving ME to the early time slot shows may be risky as they don't get enough trps in the weekdays ,so Sundays ko telecast karna won't be profitable. And our neighbour show is already ahead in terms of shooting as they have to produce epsiodes 6 days early for HS. So a ME would mean more pressure on them. And at the end of the day they want a show to fill up time slot and give them a decent rating, PS does that and also has a good bank of episodes. Team par bhi koi pressure nahi hai as it's an ensemble cast. So isliye mujhe lagta hai it gets more ME compared to others 😆
