You can have milk, water, fruits. Typically for fasts, we avoid cooked food like rice or pulses, no meat, eggs, and no onions and garlic.

That being said, I think what matters most is having a "clean heart" during fasts. I don't think it helps to only be thinking of I can't eat xyz, I'm hungry, so my personal belief has always been define what fast means for you and follow it... I'd say your friend can fast in a way that works best for her/him.

What was that? So we can eat and drink everything while fasting, as long as we don't keep our hearts dirty. How exactly do we clean our hearts? There is always a spiritual and religious reason why different kind of fasts allow only specific food and water.

Chameli, please follow what I told you. Not this gibberish. Happy Mahashivratri 🤗

Afaik - you can eat specific vrat food - potato, sweet potatoes, samo, sabudana khichdi/vada/Kheer, amaranth flour,

Pink sea salt, black pepper , peanuts , green chillies, ginger

And fruits and milk

And you can drink water too 😆

Oh man!! I love vrat ka food 😋😋

I can’t stay hungry so I don’t fast - food wise, but I love fasting wala food :)))
