I didn't realize this was the CC and I was thinking why is Pooja breaking the rules herself? 😆
The whole cribbing about Dumbledore having a hand in the abuse that HP went thru...my first book in the series was the Goblet of Fire. Then only I started from the first. So having that prior knowledge that Dumbledore is gonna help HP in the future, I wasn't too shocked...though it did strike me odd. I think apart from HP, Dumbledore's character was given the most attention by JK. Pooja aptly put it..he was grey. He was battling his own demons. Though I did question why he didn't share more knowledge about the Horcruxes which would have made HP's life a tad bit easier.
One thing I have understood is that more than the book's faults (supposed..cuz I don't want anything to be changed) , it's personal bitterness towards the author which is bringing forth such bile. ..I mean, like..."There wasn't representation of Trans in the story"/ "stereotyping of Indian, Chinese characters"..or the recent JK is transphobic..
Draco who didn't get guidance from his elders, but at the same time can't be let off the hook that easily for many of his words/actions..."JK should have redeemed him properly ".."why did the good for nothing Ron end with Hermione".."it should have been Harry"..I mean give it a break. The constant attention and scrutiny the books are under...are giving these unwanted opinions a platform..Its a vicious cycle..For me, it's a simple Funda..enjoyed the book, good for you..Didn't enjoy, move on..plenty of other stuff to read..
