Sun Raha Hai Na Tu - Arunita is the only one who comes as close to the original as is possible!!

Aru sang this song beautifully in Idol and it was just as beautiful live - good tribute to Lataji.

In my opinion this is the wrong(est) way to showcase Arunita's singing at a concert.
She should perform with sitar/sarod/tabla/shenai accompaniment. If you see the sort of accompaniment Shreya uses you get an idea of what she needs.
My personal opinion only, and may not be in sync with others.

Absolutely agree with you - in most Lataji stage performances that I have watched on TV or YT - had full orchestra - but no dhol or drums. Both Shreya and Arunita also have the same type of voice and same style. Melody singing needs melody instruments like piano, flute, sitar, violin, piano accordion, little bit of tabla, and if dholak is to be used then it should have faint sound in the background. Like I don't remember any song where an instrument dominated over Lata Mangeshkar's voice.

I would sit her (Arunita) on stage with harmonium, tabla, ektara and some string instruments and listen to her all night.
I won't pay to listen to her with a band such as she has been performing with since Idol 😃
She, and her promoters, have got it all wrong!
And this problem will continue for a while because of her associations. She is not mature enough to understand or demand anything else.

Yes, same with me. - Right now to match the loud instruments, she is raising her voice (pitch?) and so, is quite often not sounding very melodious and not doing justice to her classically trained singing. That is why I liked this - Aap ki nazron ne samjha - because the instruments were not loud and she was able to sing well. She did great in Ghatal - because the orchestra used right kind of instruments for her.
