Am I watching a completely different show?

I am actually quite confused; I have been reading written updates instead of watching the crapfest myself (thanks to the people who go through the torture for the rest of us!), and I am now wondering if I completely misinterpreted the story or something.

The information the Chavans have, Sai did not pass to them right? Be it Mohit seeing Virat check in Shruti as his wife, or the family seeing Virat with Sahas in the hospital, the information that the Chavans obtained to come to the conclusion that Virat sucks is their own right, viewed/heard from their own senses? Then here, why do they keep harping on about how them trusting Sai resulted in this situation. At which point did Sai tell them anything? I am not even angry, I am just baffled, because if I had understood the written updates properly, then there is no way, even for a regressive, illogical show like Ghum, that the family is seen berating Sai and blaming her for Virat's condition. It would be completely bizarre.

Pakhi has lied to the family multiple times and even tried to have an affair with her devar. Why is she treated so much better than Sai is?

Honestly, again if I was correct in my understanding, this show is an embarrassment to the wider Indian community. Look at the quality shows produced by Korean, Western, Japanese, Taiwanese, Pakistani media and we have something like this (I know we have some good shows as well, but Ghum is utterly horrible and disgusting). I don't get personally affected by Tv shows but now the amount of torture Sai, a supposed strong female character, is putting up with is really doing numbers for my mental health. After Virat wakes up from his coma, he is going to convince his family to forgive Sai, because he is that mahan, and Sai would be utterly grateful. I am speechless.

She literally went down on her knees. She literally begged everyone.

Everyone is blaming her as if she did something wrong. I mean that man literally lived in with someone else & gave his name to a kid.

She has become a doormat for him

Like really!!

Exactly. Its baffling. Its utterly ridiculous how they have written the dialogues of the supporting cast. Its as if their guilt/concern now seeing Virat in mortal peril has made all of them develop amnesia or go into some AU where they have now put square blame on Sai for all their actions/conclusions for things they have done independently.

Exactly what I have been thinking. All the evidence was there and all the family members believed it. It had nothing to do with Sai. She had suspicion but the instances with family members and Virat not saying anything confirmed everything. Why is Sai taking the blame and why is she being blamed I have no idea.

If the roles were reversed and Paki was male and Virat was female - (a brother in law lusting and consistently pursuing his sis in law inspite of her telling him off so many times that she is not interested in him ) - how will this cringe get a free pass, wouldn’t that be sexual harassment without any doubt? Wouldn’t that be considered criminal offence ? Wouldn’t the family members who support this kind of behaviour be part of that crime? So then, HOW IS THIS OK? 😡 This is SOOOO WRONG!!!

I just can’t wrap my head around this. Its not just once or twice. Its a constant parallel track in the show .

Harassment is harassment. NO Means NO !! Its applicable to both genders.

For god’s sake, this is 2022 - kam se kam ek acha message tho de do through your show.

How can everyone white wash virat like that ? Don’t they see he placed shruti over everyone else , over his own wife . I would say he definitely had an emotional affair with shruti .. who knows, if Sada hadn’t returned , he would have also started a full fledged affair with shruti now that shruti confessed and he was also very receptive towards her , hugging her and all.

Many times he chose shruti over his family .. the way he defended her dignity in front of his family .. the way he ignored his mothers kasam and ran to shruti … what all he did in the name of vada.., how can people believe he did all this only for vada ? He definitely has some problem… he tries to cover his mal intentions behind his wada

What they want to establish I wonder...

Maybe they want to show SaiRat have no one for each other but each other.. When Sai was in death bed virat wasn't allowed to meet Sai and no one practically did anything for her... Likewise everyone is blaming sai when virat is in death bed but practically none does anything for him..

However It's hard to sallow given the present scenarios because Virat is thoroughly wrong ..He has been sheltering a naxalite and portrayed a picture in front of all that he is love with shruti..

It's hard sympathize with Virat because every time virat has been wrong.. The only difference is makers turned Sai irrational.. She is not someone to put up such nonsense..

OH MY GOD!! I had just opened the forum page to vent about the EXACT same thing! I was like, when on earth did Sai instigate the family against Virat? It was their interpretations that instigated Virat against Sai. Aur yahaan, they have been treating her worse than ever. I mean, can this show get more regressive than this? What are the makers trying to convey: Women can be degraded as much as they want; Women have no self respect, no voice of their own; Women can be insulted by everyone and yet they will come back crawling on all fours and finally, cherry in top, it is totally fine for Bhabhi-Devar to have an affair. This is what this regressive and pathetic show is conveying. And the acting of the actors is getting worse day by day. Can’t bear Sai’s screeching anymore. Thank God, Virat is in silent mode for the time being.

This is also harassment. Patralekha behaves like a predator. Everytime she sees Virat alone, she wants to pounce on him
