Also I'm looking for recs for some light-ish reading that unputdownable. Got any thoughts on that?

Nope. Haven't.

My most favorite unputdownable book was Amitav Gosh's Ibis trilogy, but it is not really light reading I guess.

But then A Suitable Boy was light reading and I really liked it but is some 1000 pages long. 😆
