Chapter 2

While Kairav, Vansh and Neil were walking away from the hut, the light was starting to come through the little window inside the hut. Akshu stirred in her sleep. Offo! Yeh Aaru bhi na. So early in the morning she has to open the curtains. While her mind and body were starting to wake up, Akshu felt for the first time in her life, a lightness and happiness she never felt before. A sudden smile was forming on her lips. With her eyes still closed, she sat up and right away felt a heaviness in her head. What is this? I feel so light inside but my head feels so heavy. She rubbed her eyes and still with the smile on her face, looked around. It took her a few seconds to register everything. She was not in her room. Aaru was not the one who opened the curtains. She looked next to her and there he was. Abhi sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face too. She stared at him and seeing him smiling made her smile too until….Abhi?!? What is he doing here? Where are we? What is going on??

And just like that, flashbacks of the previous night came back to her. Her car not starting. Abhi coming to her rescue. They looking for shelter and finding this hut. They drinking that drink. And then….the dancing, the singing. Akshu confessing everything and telling Abhi she loved him. Abhi declaring his love back to her. Them hugging. But then……..Akshu stopped her thoughts. She couldn’t bear to remember more. What have they done? What HAVE they done? She felt a panic attack coming as she started to struggle to breath and start shaking.

Next to her Abhi opened his eyes and quickly sat up. Akshu was shaking and struggling to breath. “Akshu! Akshu! What happened? Akshu look at me!” He took her in his arms and gently said to her “Akshu look at me. You are okay! Look at me. Sing Akshu. Can you sing Akshu?”

“Abbb…hi!”

“I’m right here, Akshu! Please try to sing, Akshu!”

“Abb..hi! Laaast niii…ght. What happened…last night? Abb..hi!”

“Nothing happened Akshu. Please relax.”

Even though she struggled to speak, she had to know if her fears were true. So she took a deep breath and tried to get her words out. “Did..did we …did we do anything…we shouldn’t..have? Please tell me!”

Abhi put her hand on her cheek, “Akshu do you trust me? We didn’t do anything okay?”

Akshu finally relaxed and fell in Abhi’s arms. “So we didn’t get married either right?”

Abhi fell quiet. “Well except that. That did happen.”

Abhi: no

Akshu: we didn’t get married

Abhi: we did

He thinks that they SHOULD get married
