Arohi is so sweet in this story. She genuinely loves Akshara.

And Abhi, well, he is just that, Abhi. But sorted types.

Parts that stood out for me.

1. "Umm...you know, I will say this. Jo aap usse kehto ho, unconsciously she follows it. Jaise I guess aap na kaha ke she looks better with her hair down? Or that you like the smell of henna? So I guess somewhere she does have feelings for you? But at the same time...this is Akshu."

Chapter 18

"Magar kyun?" Aaru asked Akshu for the nth time.

"Aaru. Maine kaha na I don't want to talk about it."

"Iss baare mein soch toh le. Aise kaise you said no?"

"Meri marzi. Meri life hai. Mujhe nahi karni shaadi Abhimanyu se toh nahi karni." Akshu turned around and covered herself with a blanket.

"Akshu! Mujhe reason chaiye! And it's 2 pm! Get up!" Aaru pulled the blanket off Akshu.

Akshu sat up. "Aarohi, shayad tum bhool rahi ho ke main tumhari badi behn hoon. Mujhe tumhare kisi sawal ka jawab nahi dena."

"Akshuuuu!"

Akshu took her blanket and pillow and left the room.

"Akshu! Batao toh problem kya hai!"

"Mujhe shaadi nahi karni Abhimanyu se toh nahi karni!"

"Beta, magar batao kyun?" Badi Mama sat next to Akshu and asked her. "Tumhara kitna acha dost hai, itna acha ladka hai..."

"Aur bhi ache ladke hain duniya mein...."

"Tum ne khud kaha ke jo ladka hume pasand hai tum usse shaadi kar logi!" Mimi reminded her.

"Maine woh toh mazak mein kaha tha! Mujhe kya pata aap sach mein mera rishta pakka kar lengi!" Akshu cried.

"Okay, nahi karni shaadi Abhimanyu se? Theek hai. Lekin beta, reason to chaiye na? The Birlas are such good friends of ours, we need to give them a reason." Bade Papa explained to Akshu. "Don't you think Abhimanyu and his family at least deserve to know the reason for your rejection?"

"I don't want to. Bada Papa, why is that not enough?" Akshu turned to Kairav. "Bhaiya, please! I'll finish my thesis aur agar aap chaho toh I'll even go for my masters. Bas Abhimanyu se shaadi nahi karni mujhe."

"Beta, shaant ho jao." Kairav tried to get Akshu to stop crying.

"Mimi, Badi Mumma. Aap ko meri shaadi karwani hai...I've become such a big burden for all of you then theek hai. Karwa doh bas Abhi se nahi." Akshu sobbed.

"Kya keh rahi ho? Bhoj ho tum hamare liye? Bilkul chup." Badi Mama hugged Akshu. "Pagal ladki! Bas. Ab chup ho jao. Main kal Manjiri-ji ko phone kar ke bol doongi ke Akshu ki taraf se na hai. Theek hai? Ab bilkul chup."

"Aise kaise?" Aaru exclaimed. "Akshu! Tum yeh theek nahi kar rahi.....at least take time to think about it. Talk to Abhimanyu first. Yeh bilkul theek nahi hai, Akshu!"

"Enough, Aaru. Akshu ne faisla kar liya hai na!" Kairav told Aarohi.

"Yeh galat faisla hai...Akshu!"

"Bas, Aarohi. Enough. Leave your sister alone." Badi Papa said loudly.

Aarohi looked at Akshu who was still softly crying in Badi Mama's arms. I won't let you do this, Akshu. I know there must be a reason and I'll get that reason out of you. Both you and Abhimanyu deserve better.

"But why? Did she at least say why?" Abhi asked Aaru.

"Nope. I been trying to get it out of her...."

"I didn't realize she will be so strongly against it." Abhi said sadly. He was heartbroken when Aarohi called to tell him about Akshu's rejection. Abhi asked to meet her right away and now the two of them sat in their usual cafe.

"Pata hai jab mujhe yeh rishte ke baare mein pata chala, mujhe laga Akshu will agree....for family if nothing else magar aap mana kar lenge and I was scared of my sister getting hurt...but.."

"Now I'm the one getting hurt....even mujhe laga shuru mein ke Akshu will agree. Maybe I was thinking too high of myself. But I really thought she liked me...at least as a friend....I...I really am gutted, Aarohi. I didn't realize how much I actually wanted this to happen." Abhi said rubbing his temples as he felt a headache coming.

"No. I know my sister...she must have a reason."

"Maybe she just doesn't want this and we should respect that."

"No. Mujhe pata hai even she was heartbroken to say no. I know her. She thinks she can hide everything but her eyes give her away. I can see the storm brewing inside her."

"Aarohi, I am happy that you are so supportive of this happening but we can't push Akshu..."

"So you are giving up? That's it?" Aaru said angrily.

"I'm not giving up but I don't have a choice."

"You do have a choice. The choice is to fight for her."

"How?"

Aarohi smiled. "Just do what I tell you. I'm your biggest shipper. I know exactly what to do."

Sorry for short chapter but I'm so exhausted with work. What do you think Aarohi's plan is? What could Akshu's reason be?

where Should I start from?

1. She replaced her mother with that Manju

Akshara’s question was legit, why is a simple no not enough.

And even though I like Arohi was shipping Abhira, this is kind of behaviour, not taking a no for a no and backing out that gives rise to instances of harassment.
