Looking at the backstory (whatever Shashi was telling) looks like the entire property must have belonged to Ram's mom. Who knows Ram's dad must have killed his wife and got married to Nandini. Looks like he is also manipulated by his dad. Maybe after his wife's death, Ram's dad must have been the caretaker or something. Ram must have been given minimal monthly allowances, hence his meager lifestyle in college.

I don’t think so. After the build up given to Ram’s dad and esp coz Ram said he would have liked Priya a lot, I am convinced Ram’s dad would have been a good man.
It is possible that Shashi has a misunderstanding that Ram’s dad cheated his own dad in business when the 2 were business partners (my theory) and that is the reason for his secret enemity.

But looking at how cold & deep Nandini is I am pretty sure she had a hand in getting Ram’s dad bumped off. They never show her remember or speak fondly of her husband.
But going by that Shashi should have a hold over Nandini, This part is not clear to me.

I also very much anticipate the Senior Mr Kapoor to turn up in the flesh sometime if the serial lasts beyond 200 episodes.

Again Ram’s perception of people are wrong. And also why did he make such a deal with Ram

First of all priya ko impress karne ke liye vedika ke pass jana and then kachori as a gift dena kya cvs ne ram ka bheja tandoor mein fry karke kha liya🤓

Nandini, once made fun of Vedika, when she says that one should marry for live. She tells Shashi, main yeh Sab phaltu logic nahi maanti and asks Shashi’s help to break Shivi’s marriage.

It kind of gave insight into her character that deffo she did not marry Ram’s father for love.
