But I agree ki overseas wala should be 5, as many big players don't get a chance due to 4 wala restriction.

Earlier years I wouldn't have agreed with 5 but with 10 teams now, I full agree with it - may be why not give Associate teams a chance as well.

BCCI could actually shut outsiders mouths with giving the 5th overseas player option to be from Associate teams or players from teams who hardly play tests these days like Ireland, Zimbabwe, UAE, etc it could mean, BCCI is promoting cricket too, even outside India - the most common critic heard about BCCI - they don't promote newer teams once they've become financial powerhouse unlike until early 2000's.

Raina hasn't been performing from 2019 and in 2020 he did controversey with the management and left the team when they needed him the most as players were suffering from Covid and big Overseas player didn't came and in 2021 he didn't performed in even a single match still MS made him play for the whole season in playing 11.

I don't agree about Rayudu

Rayudu deserves it

He has been doing what Raina used to do for CSK

He accelerates the runs in middle and have been consistent from the time he has came to CSK in 2018.

He always contributes those 30-40 runs in middle which mostly people doesn't see but makes a huge difference in the match.

Rayudu was bad last year. I am okay with Rayudu for max 5 crores, not more than that. Uthappa is another player who no one would've picked if there were only 8 teams, he hardly scores these days.

Finch hasn't scored much runs in last 2 ipls or t20 world cup. Same for smith and Morgan. Teams went for only those overseas players who have been match winners.
